i used to eat peanut butter, but cashew butter is so much healthier. i enjoy it on apple halves topped with pistachios for breakfast every morning. this is an excellent product and a good value also. it is one of my favorite foods, and a nutritious one. it is an essential part of my plant-based lifestyle.
My son is a great fan of the cashew butter. He has some mild peanut allergies and the cashew butter doesn't affect him in the same way. He enjoys the flavor and enjoys his CB%26J sandwhiches. Its a little expensive, but cashews are more expensive than peanuts to begin with.
I love this stuff, I put it on bread, for a sandwich, I put it in my yogurt, and in my frozen yogurt shakes, I put it on pretzel crackers, on pound cake with a lite sprinkle of sugar. lt doesn't need sweetener it is natural sweet, never any lumps, always perfectly blended and smooth.
Since I love cashew nuts, I thought I would try this product. It is really delicious…and my friends and family had never tasted it until they visited with me and now they love it too and I can depend on having it when I visit them at their homes! A great new discovery at my stage of life (80 Los Angeles ) and it now adds a smile to my day when I treat myself to it Washington DC (even when I simply dip a teaspoon into the jar and lick it iff the spoon (and NO, I do not put the spoon back in the jar… I closed the jar and stop with the teaspoon I just ate!)!
Regular processed peanut butter started to give me heart burn so I stopped eating it. I tried other less processed nut butters which were okay, but this stuff was the winner. Great taste, texture, and no stirring made it my go to for alternative peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. However, I think it might be discontinued because I can't seem to get it anymore, which is a disappointment. The substitute now in it's place is the 12oz Great Value cashew butter which looks like less but could just be the packaging and is the same price. I hope it tastes the same or they bring this back.
first time trying cashew butter for a change from peanut butter. For a sandwich and on crackers for a snack. The texture is not as creamy as peanut butter. The taste is more mild than peanut butter. I preferred this on crackers over having a sandwich. This is not a bad product. My personal choice is that I would eat it again if it's offered to me and I didn't have a different choice. It's just a product I tried for the first time, finding I don't prefer it. I'll use the remainder to mix with peanut butter for no bake cookies. I'm glad this is an option for others.
I recently learned a lot of Indian sauces uses cashew for their base or as an important ingredient. Tonight when I made a sauce for our meat I used the cashew butter along with curry, Indian all-spice, a little ginger %26 tumeric, a bit of vinegar, butter, %26 cauliflower. It turned out really nice!
The lower rating was not about the product but about Walmart's method of shipping. The bottles were not protected, nor properly sealed. The oil got out. Since I didn't have the time to take them back to the store, I bit the bullet. will not order them online again. will be a waste of money
This doesnt taste like cashews, its taste like peanut butter with ritz crackers mixed in and even the texture seems that way. Its a little thicker than pb and slightly more dry. It says to refrigerate after open which only made it thicker. A little too much salt for my preference but doesnt taste bad, just not like cashew.
the seal of the jar lid was broken np I would never attempt to taste or eat this product because it's probably got salmonella! and then I'm disabled and cannot drive so I cannot bring it back to the store so now I lose my money too! I am a Walmart customer so y'all should come and get this return from me.
