i absolutely love this bucket. i have a disability and once this salt is put down, i know that i am safe and secure. i purchased 4 buckets for this winter.
I purchase this to make sure I have for icing conditions on my driveway and sidewalk. The product is great- opening the pail to access the product is always a challenge for me
I had difficulty trying to open the lid, There is a rip cord something like that to pull on the bottom to remove. BUT once the lid was off it is easy to use. I am usually using the bags. BUT i wanted a Bucket to keep the salt inside of. So I can refill with the bags. And easy to spread accross the sidewalk, just have to use a plastic cup..
I first found Road Runner at a Lowe's store in Wisconsin. At the time I had a 100 foot driveway. RR sounded like a good product. Wow! The first time I shoveled snow after a major snowfall, I started at head of driveway. I sprinkled a small amount of RR on section of driveway cleared. I went back to working down driveway. I turned around to see how RR was working. I was astonished to that section not only free of snow but dry. Where I live now seldom gets snow, but over weekend forecast calls for up to eight inches. So I ordered a bucket of RR. I look forward to seeing if RR works as well here as it did in Wisconsin.
The reviews were good so of course I got it at such a great price…I was a bit worried as a bunch of reviews said how hard it is to open…I did not have a problem grab the hole in the seal and pull the opposite way it peels off with ease and opened even easier! I bought two for the winter and I highly recommend this product
Works great but it will for sure hurt your pets paws unfortunatly. i have stray cats around my neighborhood %26 i noticed they wont come near my porch now %26 one of them is holding his paw up like it hurts %26 i feel horrible for that.💔 But it does melt the ice %26 snow so it works! 🤷🏼♀️
When I ordered the 35 pounds of rock salt. I told him to put it by the garage door this way I just opened the garage door and it goes right in, but whoever delivered did not listen and they put it by my front door, which has a bunch of stairs and I'm an 80 year-old woman so it took me a long time to get it to the garage door so when you post the instructions of where to leave the package, they don't pay attention
when got it I tore off the seal tried ti use it. it was hard as a brick. not very happy. i ordered it online. i hate doing returns plus its so heavy so it would be a pain in the neck. so for ice melt from now on buying elsewhere.
I can't even open it. So I have 35lbs of useless salt. Ughh. I cut myself trying to open it to no avail
I opened the bucket? I realise that the majority is rock salt. I have used the roadrunner ice melt before and the bag that I used before was a mix of a light white powdering pellets not hard rock salt which is hard on the concrete and bad for pets and will damage the pavement.
