The price is in a mid range for grabbers but its a little longer than some of the others. It comes in handy I use it several times a day. I have arthritis so I don't have to bend over to pick something up or it helps me to reach something thats to high to reach. On a scale of 1-10 I give 10
The best grabber I've ever used. I've tried many others and this one is the only one that stands out far ahead of the rest. The tips have magnets to easily pick up small metal items. The handle can be turned for your ease of picking up items. The grabber tips are strong, rubberized and able to grab nicely and evenly. It also comes in multiple lengths. What else could you ask for? It's just the best!
I got this one mainly for the length (36" rather than 32"), and mainly for my 96-year-old dad who uses a walker. He has a cheaper one that works okay, with a pistol grip, but we like the different grip, and the wider claws. Good length, claw width, and grip, and works well! Just beware that even though it picks up even a small pill that drops to the floor, it won't deliver that pill into your other hand, because it is so long. (You'll have to put it on a table or something.)
I am handicapped and this makes it so much easier, usually, if I drop something it will stay on the floor until someone will pick it up for me. This grabber makes it easy for me to pick up even small items, I also use it when I cannot reach high items, it is strong enough to hold and carry most items. I plan on buying one for my sister who has back issues and finds it hard to pick up items when dropped.
Extremely useful and can pick up small and large objects like clothing, shoes, toys, bottle caps, even safety pins. 36 inch was good for because I use it in standing position and am medium height. I can grab item out of clasp with my other hand without too much difficulty. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because after 3 weeks of regular use it feels like it will break after a couple more months of use, but hopefully not.
PROS: Magnets, lightweight, length CONS: Smaller jaw opening. awkward button adjustment, no loop for hanging. So rather thanthe nuisance of returning, I'm also keeping my old model grabber without magnets but easier to use for bigger objects. Also magnet placement on outside of grabber jaws allows object to be knocked off. Prefer magnets on inside of jaws too to improve secure grip. Overall, this grabber is OK, but would not order again.
Nice long grabber!! I prefer the others I have ordered in the past (with different handles) because of this handle it's harder to grip. . It's uncomfortable to grip while trying to pick up more weighted objects. Especially if you're a senior with gripping issues with your hand or slightly handicapped.
Love this grabber, but it has a major week point! The connection between the plastic handle and the aluminum shaft easily breaks with not that much weight, this is the 3rd one I've had to buy, in about a year and a half, trying to figure out a way to reinforce, and rebuild the broken ones!
I was excited to find this model due to the way it's designed to pick up small things that other ones don't. I also liked the direction of pull on the handle which should make it last longer so that the handle won't break as I've found with other models. I bought one last December for a client (in a wheel chair) and was thrilled when she was able to pick up some lint off the carpet. Imagine my surprise
The grab broke instantly, I could still pick up some things but had to manually operate the grabber and physically open the grabber Cheap materials used, not worth the money I paid. I gave 1 star because even though it broke only hours after I received it I was able to use it for a little while, as long as I manually operated the grabber
