Hello, when I went to doctor I understood I had to use the tape directly on the skin (I have scars from a surgery). I live in Sweden but I don't speak Swedish so probably I misunderstood what the doctor said because it seems you need to use it just as a tape , for example to fix dressing. Is that right? Can't you use it directly on the skin? Thanks
Perfect post medical tape for current family needs. Rapid shipping. Plan on purchasing again, if required, from this seller.
A good tape. Keep it handy and use it when needed.
Best price found and sold as one package. We like it better for bandaging.
It was just what I needed
It used to be that you could find online a listing/breakdown of the difference in adhesive between the 3M micropore tape and the micropore+ tape. No longer can we do this. It used to be that the micropore+ tape was actually useful because you got the entire roll to use. No longer is this so. I have wasted something close to 4 dozen rolls (or more - I lost count) due to the adhesive "peeling" from the tape and rendering it non-adhesive. (There is a complaint on this page, similar to this, from someone named Liuise, who wrote 4 months ago "This tape will not come off the roll. I have wasted 4 rolls and effort trying to use this product.") As I am care-partner to a dialysis patient wherein we do Home HEMO dialysis (not peritoneal), we use an awful lot of this tape; and having most of it suddenly become useless is frustrating to say the least. We determined - through use - not long after we began Home-Hemo that the standard micropore adhesive was bad for his skin, as it raised blisters right up on the access (thus creating a vector for infection). It was then that we began using the micropore+ tape because the adhesive was different. It was always easy to tell the two apart, as well, because the micropore+ wording inside the roll (and on the boxes) was dark blue and used the + symbol; while the standard micropore wording inside the roll was a much lighter blue and did NOT have any symbols. Recently, due to an internal policy change within our dialysis provider, we were given much larger boxes of individual-use rolls of what claimed to be micropore+ tape. However this supposed micropore+ tape does NOT have the + symbol, nor is it dark blue inside the roll (although the boxes proclaim it is micropore+ with the darker blue colour and also the actual wording). It was then that we discovered we could no longer find the adhesive information online, so our nurse started looking for an alternative to the micropore+ that was "shredding" itself coming off the rolls (I have samples I can send you!!!) and to the suspect micropore+ individual-use rolls that look as though they are standard micropore. This alternative is not as good, but we cannot see any alternative to using it when we have no idea if the individual-use rolls are actually micropore+ as claimed on the box, or are standard micropore as claimed by the wording (and the colour of it) inside the rolls. Some kind of resolution to this situation would be appreciated, even if it turns out to be "we no longer make micropore+ tape even though the boxes say that's what it is". (I would not rate it anything right now, but I clicked before I realised I could not undo the click. When this works, it is GREAT, but when I am throwing it away because the adhesive does not work, it is horrible. I was a micropore user years and years and years ago, in a land far away - and would have, back then, recommended it without hesitation. We used it on all our elderly patients. (I worked, then, in a geriatric residential unit.)
Its excellent if you haven't got an allergy to something in it but I cannot find whats in it to determine what I am allergic to. I get a huge itchy water filled blister whenever I use this. The same with medical adhesives on the 7 day ECG machine. I know I have an allergy to rubber (not as bad, just itchy) and I know I have an allergy to silicone (blisters), they claim no rubber so is it a silicone based adhesive? Please, someone tell me! I would recommend if no known allergies but until I find out whats in it I can't
I did not receive a box of 3M Micropore Medical tape that was ordered and paid for but 1 roll of used tape thrown in a packing bag. I repeat, one roll of used tape simply thrown in a bag which is unsanitary and not usable. I would appreciate it, PF Pharmacy if you send me the item paid for . Thank you for your attention to this matter
I have to change a small (1.5 inch x 2 inch) dressing daily after recent surgery. I tried this tape once, and it wouldn't stay on. If I am using it incorrectly I'd love to know.
picture shows a box but only got 1 roll for 9 dollars...what a rip off
