This was the perfect size to scoop out cookie dough with the grandkids. It makes a consistent ball, which means the cookies bake evenly. No guessing involved. The handle is a good size for a teenage or adult hand to grasp and squeeze effectively. Little ones will have a harder time ejecting the dough from the scoop, but the action is smooth. Unlike a previously purchased scoop, which I returned, this one has a comfortable handle covered in rubbery plastic, and it does not dig into your palm of your hand.
