These are nice and thick. I use them mainly for clothes. I put a cotton ball with my favorite scent or a dryer sheet in the bag, then the clothes and they stay sweet smelling and fresh until I need them next. The bags seal easily. Linens or a small throw would fit also. :-)
I prefer leave over Ziploc they go easy to open and they are cheaper. these bags are not only good for freezing meat, fruit, and vegetables But they are great to make your own snack mixes cuz you can shake them up and spread them very easily and then you can make any snack mix you want and then can be opened and refilled many times and resealed and also great for organization and to put bottles or containers in to help prevent leaking. great for toys arts and crafts and school and medical supplies The size is awesome
A bit lower quality than the brand names but the price is competitive. I do think the price could be cheaper but I figure it's due to fewer being sold. The bags work well for items that won't fit in a gallon bag. The quality works for what I'm storing - I'd suggest this for any moderate valued items and probably suggest a name brand if I were storing more expensive products for long term.
I use these bags to freeze hamburger. Place in the bag, flatten with a rolling pen, then gently create creases where you want individual servings. This allows you to break off how much you need for a meal and takes up almost no room in the freezer.
paid $1.89 for a box of 10 and theyre 2gallon. i use them for when i buy 50 pound bags of pet food. its way cheaper to do it this way. $1.75 a pound vs $3 a pound for their food so i put it in these bags to keep it really fresh for 6months stacking the bags inside a tote while I use it up one ziplock at a time. each bag holds about 8 pounds of pet food! theyre sturdy and dont fall apart when you lift them up and the kibble points dont poke holes in the plastic bags.
Can't beat this price. I also use it to put my presents for Christmas in each bag etc. so that, they still will be new plus just grab and put in the gift bag when Christmas is getting closer. I have 90% of my Christmas presents ready to go for this year. Ah, just need to buy that 10% left of presents to be filled here and there. Yes...
I have trouble with the zipper pull coming off and have to force it back on with these ! The 1 gallon bags don't seem to have this problem so far! But I didn't get my 2 gallon bags that said they had arrived, and I checked all over. The picture of them was right by the stairs going off the porch. I use them to protect my paperwork and clothes storage, and the food that I put on the back porch to keep cold. They are more expensive, but they work well for protection and are strong.
as a cottage baker and starting to do more volume, I had to have a system to safely freeze my products. I are started using these bags and found my cookies would still get freezer burn and weird taste after about a month in these bags. now I use two bags, which really ups the cost. maybe a few days is ok, but I need something that will safely freeze for several month without negative impacts to the products.
These bags allow freezer burn. The standard ziplock bags by Hefty do not. I have been using the Hefty for many years to store home made cat food. When I found these I switched but am sorry for that decision due to the freezer burn. Going back to Hefry.
This is not the item I ordered I ordered two and a half gallon bags from Great value with zipper tops not the press and seal tops. I called your store in New Castle where the order came from they were very unhelpful told me I had to deal with it online. I cannot find anywhere online to send this back. And the phone number that she gave me voicemail is full the 800 number does not go to Walmart my number is 302-897-4303 I would like a refund of this order for two of the two gallon freezer bags from Great value that are not zipper top. I also received a brown sweater which will be the next message I ordered it in a 3X it was delivered in a 2X Tom and true rest very small so getting a 2X is like getting a size large. Please give me a call back and tell me how I can place this order or I will call my bank and cancel out the entire sale.
