4M Crystal Growing Science Model Kit with 7 Experiments

This mini crystal growing kit is a great product for a kid whose into science like my 8yr old. Its a super easy to use k8t that comes with three colored seeding mixtures. The red crystal was my son's favorite. You have to follow the instructions to a tee. It comes with a container that you pour water and the mixture into and it grew fairly quickly overnight. I would highly recommend. Me and my kid had fun doing this together.

Fun craft for children that love science and doing projects. My girls love these type of projects. Yes, it takes 7 days for these crystals to grow nevertheless my girls loved observing the process. The instructions were somewhat easy to understand. An adult should supervise and help with measurements etc. My daughter who is a forth grader is really into crystals and science this year, especially since she is in a science club and do hands on projects. She also loved that she was able to pick the color of her crystal. Everyday she would check it's progress and was surprised at its growth. It was nice to see her so intrigued and interested in making a crystal. Therefore, I highly recommend this product because my family and I love that it's educational!

This is not an instant crystal growing experimental kit. Takes a few days. My teen daughter started stem class in school and is in all honors classes. She took one look and couldn't wait to crack open the box. Comes with everything you need but water. Measure the chemicals and put it in the right temperature water then set it aside for a few days. Not near the sink, you don't want to accidentally dump it out. And if you have animals, which we have three, he careful it is not in a spot they can get to. We put ours in a cabinet. Cool kit. The only down side is it is not instant, takes a while, so you have to have plenty of patience.

I received this product for my honest rating and review. I received 1- Crystal Growing Experiment Science Kit. This kit allows you to conduct 7 different growing experiments. It is reccomend ed for children over 10. I plan to give this set to my son for Christmas because he has been begging me for this product for some time now. His cousin has this set and he loved helping him with with it. I definitely reccomend you buy this for children whom love science and experiments. I give it a 5 out of 5.

This is a really neat kit that is easy to use. You boil water and add the solution that comes with this kit, pour it into the provided container and wait for the crystal to grow! It was very fun to see the crystals as they started growing and they ended up being as large as the container would let them grow. If you are interested in growing crystals, this is a great kit to start with.

Great item for a great price. I highly recommend this.

It was a really fun activity for the children and I to do together. We enjoyed spending quality time together and creating something really cool. I had the hardest time getting the degrees to a particular temperature that was stated on the instructions and when I was using a thermometer, I kept dropping temperature every time I would open the microwave door so I eventually gave up on trying to perfect the temperature and just went with it since the water was boiling anyway. Overall they turned out pretty good - the larger ones fell apart, but they are really awesome and it's neat to watch them grow and change by the day. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone and I would purchase this again in the future!

We have had these crystals "growing" over 4 weeks now, and they still haven't grown well at all. However, I am not sure if this is because the product is not good, or because my house never gets above 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter. When I selected this product as a Spark Review item, I thought it would be a fun project to do with my eleven year old over winter break. Unfortunately, I did not know it requires a room temperature above 77*. Because our heater does not work well to heat the house, we have had a failure on the project. Conversely, our air conditioner also does not cool the house well, so we will try again with this kit this summer to see if we get better results in the 80-85* the house stays in summer. So, in our cold house, we finally had some growth, but the crystals are fragile and needle like. They are similar in consistency to the frost crystals that form on the car in cold weather. Not something kiddo could let dry and display in the cases. The cups/cases are fairly decent for the price point of the product. It comes with two packs of the white substance needed to build the crystals and three packs of starter in various colors. We tried white and purple. I can't tell if any growth has occurred in the purple, as it is too dark. We did get thin, brittle growth in the white, though. You can sort of see this in the pictures I have attached to this review. I like that this kit includes everything you need, including cups to grow the crystals in. many do not. You will need a pot to boil water in, but that is not a problem since you only have to boil water in it, not use any household products with the chemicals. It was fun to try, but I do wish it could be done with various temperatures. We will retry this summer, when the house will be warmer to see if it works better. If I remember, I will give an update to this review then.

The copy online made it seem like 3 crystals could be made, but in reality only one could be made with a choice of 3 colors. Also, the crystal that grew was more of a block, rather than the spiky creation pictured on the box. Our young grandchild still enjoyed it, but I was disappointed that it was not as expected.
