angel hair spaghetti is so delicious! especially the spaghetti! in my personal opinion angel hair spaghetti is way better than any other kind of spaghetti. it just seems lighter and it's way thinner so I don't know I like it better. and this goes great with alfredo sauce or maybe some melted cheese spread it's just so good even with butter and Parmesan it's delicious.
I've purchased great value angel hair pasta many times. I don't see any difference between this and the name brand angel hair but it's important not to over cook it because it's so thin. Also for 16 ounces you can't beat the price. I hope Walmart will always keep it at a low price.
My favorite brand of my favorite kind of spaghetti—angel hair — YUMMY! I love this brand it tastes great and I make it my instant pot by breaking it in half, covering it with water and setting it on zero. It comes out perfect every time!!! It’s great to put frozen broccoli in with the angel hair if you want vegetables with it . The pasta is just semolina so pure simple ingredients and cooking it with veggies and sauce is a very filling meal!
The thing I like the best about this spaghetti is that it is a great value. By a great value, I mean it is great quality at a great price. This Angel Hair version is my favorite. The fine noodles make for a delicate texture in my opinion. This pasta makes a good side dish with vegetables or chicken, or as the main dish with Marinara and meatballs. The convenience makes it easy to always have spaghetti in the pantry. The ingredients are just as good as more expensive brands, so, with this brand, I believe I'm paying for only the things I want.
A box of angel hair pasta for under a dollar?! I have used this for years and my family loves it as it is actually very thin like angel hair should be where others claim to be they are actually just regular spaghetti thickness. Tastes just the same as expensive name brand. I will always buy this pasta and thos only for our spaghetti nights, highly HIGHLY recommend! : )
I know - who buys Great Value Pasta? Now I do!!! I love Barilla but the store didn't have it. I grabbed this and now it's what I usually go for. It's cheap (a word I hate) but really is the same as Barilla. Same cooking time, same taste, and half the price. They don't have the variety that Barilla does but is you need basics, this is it.
I love this pasta! I would recommend but today I recieved my order with pasta sticking out %26 loose pasta. Upon closer inspection, the defect is happening during the packaging process in which one "skinny" side flap is being folded completely down against the interior side of the box, leaving a gap which allows pasta noodles to fall out. Proper packaging process folds both "skinny" end flaps over top of the pasta and the longer end flaps fold over those. Please notify Great Value packaging plant manager that GV Angel Hair pasta boxes are not being closed properly. There is a defect in the packaging process. Thank you.
I was 72 years old before I realized it was not a wise idea to buy pasta in a “box”! I have been buying pasta for years but the price and this Great Value Angel Hair Pasta was the pest price on this particular day at $.98. I fell for it. Never again! Imagine this. Company at my home. All was going great! Until it happened! I had the pasta out of the pantry and water boiling. I picked the box up to open it. Well, please imagine both ends of the box simultaneously failing and pasta falling to the floor in a jumbled up pile. All I could do was scream and then stand and stare in shock! First thing, I had no more pasta. My husband had to make a trip to the nearest grocery store. Next I had a 15-20 minute job of picking up sticks of pasta all over the kitchen floor, the tiny sticks breaking, into pieces and rolling into places I could not reach; under the refrigerator, the stove, well you get the idea I’m sure. Then the tiniest pieces had to be vacuumed up; all this to the embarrassment of not only me but our guests. Well dinner was only an hour and a half late. By that time our guests were so hungry they could eat whatever. But please, take my advice! Never purchase Great Value Pasta in a box!! I’m going with the bagged from here on out!
i ordered angel hair pasta. while the box said angel hair pasta, the contents was more like spaghetti. angel hair pasta cooks almost as soon as it hits the boiling water. i vooked this pasta for more than 20 minutes and it was still al dente. not my preference.
I was really disappointed with this angel hair pasta. The noodles were extremely thin and clumped together easily while cooking, making the texture mushy instead of light and delicate. Even when I followed the cooking instructions carefully, it turned out overcooked within minutes. The flavor was bland, and the pasta broke apart too easily when mixed with sauce. I expected much better quality, especially for the price. I probably won't buy this brand again.
