This sauce is just right ; I usually add very little seasoning to it ; pretty much my fresh vegetables are what's needed . The texture and taste are on point . You can use this , straight out of the jar if desired . I love it and buy on a regular basis . I don't just use for spaghetti dishes but other recipes as well ; meatball subs , meatloaf , pizza bread and more . Nice and chunky!!

All natural ingredients and tasty as can be. Works great on roasted chicken too...Pour it over the chicken 1/2 hour before it's finished cooking push it back in the oven, when the chicken is done cooking take it out and let it sit (rest) and the sauce will bond better...Ohhh my word what a flavor

Like most store brands, they are close enough to national brands that I'd consider them a bargain. And, as with any of the brands, I find myself adding seasonings to kick up the flavor to my own liking. Face it, personal tastes in sauces like this, and recipes, probably number almost as many as there are cooks. I do like the fact that it is in a jar, so, if I want some for dipping breadsticks or pizza, I can open it up, take what I need and put the rest back in the fridge for future use.

My family loves the flavor but the texture is not the same from purchase to purchase. Sometimes it is chunky while other times it's smooth. We overall prefer it to be smoother than huge chunks of tomato. But we can use a food processor if the chunks are too large. It isn't too salty for us but it might be to othera.

I'm really impressed with the quality of so many Great Value products. You almost expect it to be low quality for the low price, but this sauce was great. Slightly watery, but not an issue at all. I tried this sauce because it was featured in a blind taste test by chefs on Youtube, with very good reviews. I will buy this again, along with the traditional version.

I buy this sauce and then add my own spices. Sometimes I ad a can of crushed tomatoes. Other times I ad a can of pizza sauce. If you cook Italian Sweet or Hot sausage to the sauce you can flavor the entire pot. This is a good buy if you want to spice up yourself.

I'm not known for being a good cook - actually I'm well known for bad and over/under cooked food so my hubby does the cooking. I had my grandson by myself and he wanted spaghetti. I cooked some mild Italian sausage and dumped this sauce and only added a little garlic powder. It tasted great - grandson gave it a thumbs up 👍 and had a big portion. Success 😆!

I choose Great Value jarred sauce over other name brands for the flavor!! I usually buy the garden combo, but I chose this tomato bail for my stuffed shells. While the flavor was great it was very watery. It's the first time I've purchased this particular one so I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or if this is normal.

The GV Tomato and Basil Garlic Pasta Sauce is okay to make a decent meal. I use this over my pizza sometimes and meatball subs. I'm a big angel hair pasta user, and this also goes well with it. At times, I have added more garlic to the sauce while heating it up.

A jar of pasta sauce is one of those pantry staples you'll always find in my kitchen. When you're tired, you can whip up a spaghetti dinner in 20 minutes with this. Add a salad and warm bread, and dinner is done. You can also use it in recipes like lasagna, baked ziti, and eggplant parmesan. Walmart's branded items are good quality IMO.
