What can one really say about can corn?? Corn is corn right?? Not all can corned has the same quality, but Libby's Whole Kernel Corn is a high quality canned corn. Give it a try
Corn is my favorite vegetable. When I can't think of what I want to eat I always go for the Canned Corn. It is naturally sweet, so it is filling and sweet at the same time. The best of both worlds.
We've avoided canned corn, with a few exceptions, since too often it is watery and tasteless. Not so with this product. This is a winner for us, since we like to keep a good stock of ingredients for stews and soups. We will reorder.
My son eats this corn for desert. I personally detest corn. This brand wasn't too salty- he said- a definite plus. EWG gives it a score of 3.5 out of 10.
I am not too picky about taste but this corn is so good I eat it straight from the can. It's a good price, as well. Plus, my chickens love a little Libby's whole corn Treat, especially on a very hot day like today! They prefer this corn. Yep, unlike their 'mother' they are picky! UPS prompt delivery up to the porch was appreciated, too.
here it is, I have been eating cacced corn most of my life, and I was very impressed that Libbey canned corn is in a class of their own, and its affordable you have other things that I want to try, did I mention that I am a professional chef//retired.
This corn tastes pretty good, has a very good texture for a canned vegetable (crisp/crunchy/fairly-fresh, not soggy or overcooked). Would prefer far less sodium. My big complaint is that the "15 oz" includes the water. After you drain the useless salt-corn-water out, you end up with about 9.4 oz of actual corn per can, making this far more expensive per ounce than you're lead to believe in the product description.
The product is fine, but the delivery process resulted in damaged items. 18 of the 24 cans I received were dented to various degrees. I understand having a few dents because of the shipping process, but 18 of the 24 seems excessive. Perhaps Walmart can take better care in handling and packaging these products.
Cans were seriously bent. It's highly disappointing to get the product all damaged and have to return it due to mishandling.
5 of 6 cans were dented. The box had no damage. With all the foods recalls now it's scary. Waste of money! Such a nusiance to return to store!
