I was pleasantly surprised with this chili. This was the best canned chili I have ever eaten. I have tried so many different brands through the years. I never expected to end my search with Campbell's! It's even better than the restaurant brands. This is so good!
I normally buy the Hormel with beans, which is also good, but I recently tried this for the first time and I gotta admit it's a bit better. Good flavor and chunky. I heat it up and sprinkled some great value fiesta blend shredded cheese, it was delicious. Also good to use for chili hotdogs.
This really is the best canned chili I've tried. It tastes (almost) home made, not the typical sludge you normally get with other brands. It has no heat to it, so if you like that, expect to add your own.
good flavor, doesn't taste canned. great on hot dogs. zero heat though, but that's good for those in your life with heat sensitivity. great on potatoes too, or on top of your taco salad.
Have only bought Stagg's canned chili from Sam's Club in the past. Had to special order it for shipment as not in the club. This is much better. More meat and not having to wait for shipment makes it perfect! Add my Crystal hot sauce to it and so good!
Can't do five stars on any canned soup becsuse nothing is as good as homemade! However, this has a good flavor but questionable meat. Contains kidney beans. I like it. Not spicy. Good for canned chili. Beats Hormel. I dump it in a bowl and put it in microwave with a lid over it. Top with a little cheese or sour cream or chopped onions...whatever way you like it. This soup is not runny...It's pretty thick. I have drained it after heating to make chili dogs.
I had bought 2 of these via delivery, both cans came with rust on the top of the cans....
Campbell's changed the recipe, it's now a watery bowl of c**p. If you are used to the thick hearty chili it used to be, this is not it.
Unfortunately, when I received my order of 2 -12 packs of this product, half of the cans were severely damaged. The product was not leaking out yet, so I assumed it was still edible. Another product order of the same quantity was so severely damaged that it couldn't be delivered. Bottom line: When ordering multi item cans of anything, expect considerable damage as the products are NOT packaged to protect anything, just put in a cardboard box and shipped. I won't be ordering anymore canned foods from Walmart until they fix this issue.
I recently went on the hunt for the best canned chili. I bought 4 brands: this one, Armor Star, Van Camps, and Great Value. This one, by far, was THE WORST. In fact, one star is generous. Tasted like bland tomato sauce, the meat was a weird texture, and there were few beans. I expected at least a mid-tier product, but no, even that was too high an expectation. I would not buy this again. I do not recommend it; I wouldn't even feed it to a dog. Pass. And if you're wondering: Great Value was the best chili out of the four brands I tried--it gets 5/5, Van Camps 3/5, and Armor 2/5.
