I bought this during a difficult chapter in my life. My beloved chicken, Bartholomew, had recently abandoned the homestead after meeting a traveling carnival. At first it was just innocent curiosity. He'd wander over to watch them set up the Ferris wheel. Then he started coming home smelling faintly of kettle corn. Before long he was wearing tiny sunglasses and talking about "seeing the world." One morning he was gone. All he left behind was a single feather and a note that read, *"Don't wait up. The carnival understands me."* So when I saw canned chicken, my heart skipped a beat. Finally... the Emergency Chicken Program I'd heard whispers about. I imagined carefully opening the can and hearing a tiny, hopeful **"bok?"** From inside, a perfectly folded backup chicken would slowly unfold like one of those compressed sponge dinosaurs you put in water. I'd gently lift him out, hand him a tiny bowl of feed, and whisper, "It's okay. You're safe now." He'd spend the afternoon learning where the coop was, meeting the neighbors, and filling the emotional void left by Bartholomew's betrayal. We'd fish together. We'd grow old together. Maybe he'd eventually trust me enough to tell me what happened during the Great Goose Incident. Instead... Chicken. Already cooked. Perfectly normal. Objectively very good, but emotionally devastating. I suppose expecting an emergency replacement chicken hidden inside a can was setting the bar a little high. Still, if the engineers at Great Value are reading this, I'd like to formally suggest a limited edition can with one tiny foldable rescue chicken inside. I think humanity is ready. Five stars anyway. Bartholomew made his choice. I have to respect that. I just hope the carnival appreciates everything I sacrificed for him.

Great Value chicken is all you really need to make a good sandwich. The quality is solid and it tastes great. Perfect for quick meals like chicken salad, especially when it gets warmer and you don't want to cook as much in the kitchen. Good value and easy to keep on hand. I'll keep buying it.

Delicious flavor. Great for a lot recipes. Salads, sandwiches and rice dishes are what we use it for. My daughter likes it straight out of the can. It was her go to snack after school.

I make my dog's food with chicken, vegetables and rice. He absolutely loves this. It is the most reasonable price and good quality canned chicken I've found for him.

I dump the broth but it's definitely a game changer because if I want to make some chicken chili I can use this or life saver for days that I want chicken salad with some crackers !

Most of the time the chicken is good but I have purchased several that taste sour the water solution was terrible. I threw them out. Wouldn't give it to my family

I feed this to my cat over cat food (mixed with other stuff because cat food has nasty ingredients) but this has modified food starch. arguably better than what cat food has in it but still gross and I wouldn't eat it

I dislike this brand of canned chicken. The taste isn't as good as Tyson. The texture is horrible and overall I can't recommend this product even if on a budget.
