This cold pack is soft and effective. Works well and doesn't get too cold. I have another one just like it and have had it for over two years.
What I like most about this cold compress is that you can apply it directly to your skin, no barrier needed. It stays cold a decent amount of time, but will chill rather quickly when placed back in the freezer.
I just wish they made a extra small wrist size and one ankle size that wraps all the way around, could stay cold longer. Other than that, dampness free is what I like.
Very convenient. I have an injury that requires frequent icing and this is great. I don't wrap it in anything, just use it straight from the freezer over my clothes. Might be too cold to use directly on skin. The cold lasts 20 minutes (or longer) and then it goes back in the freezer for next time. I did learn that I need to store it IN the freezer, not on the freezer door shelf. I had no idea how much warmer the door is. Good to know for food storage.
Great ice pack, I tore my meniscus and have been using on my knee. Its very squishy and conforms to the area needed. It does have a fabric fuzzy covering and says you can put it right onto the injured area..but I found it is way too cold that way and had to wrap a towel around it.
Perfect size for my sore knee and stays cold for at least 30 minutes. This is my second large ice pack from Ace and I am very happy with it. The first one I had lasted me almost 5 years. Love how it is soft and flexible, which makes it easy to wrap around my knee.
I had gotten one of these awhile back (years) and my son started using it in the bottom or top of his lunch box. When my back started giving me problems again I couldn't find mine and neither did my son. Since I liked my first one I just bought another on. I guess I will have to put a strong'HANDS OFF' on it for my son.
I have a neck and shoulder injury from many years ago that still causes me problems and I have just reinjured so this product is wonderful for me I am going to order 2 more just to keep for future because fabric ones are so hard to find I love these!!!!!
I have purchased 3 of these--not because they wore out, but someone in our family is usually in need of a cold compress. It's great after surgery or to help with a painful injury. The size is convenient and covers a decent area. I love the fabric cover and the fact that it's flexible. It stays cold for the treatment period and doesn't melt like ice or bags of frozen vegetables. I would definitely recommend these compresses.
I love the large size. It completely covers my knee, and then some. Also the material is much nicer that the plastic feel of most others I've used. It does say no need for placing any fabric between your skin and the ice pack, but I found I needed something, if only a sheet, or my knee would freeze.
