Custom covers are impossible to find (at the time this is written), so you probably have to get a generic "universal fit" type of cover. Ebay has best selection of those. Other than that, it works fine as a basic tablet for me (videos, games, browsing, etc.)

I purchased the Acer Tab A8 on Black Friday at Walmart for $39. Previously, I owned the ONN 8-inch tablet, which I loved, but it only had 32 GB of storage. I added an SD card to that tablet, but I was unable to format it to expand the internal storage. Fortunately, the Acer allows me to use the SD card to expand the internal storage. I am currently very happy with my new tablet and it fits the ONN 8- inch tablet case.

We like the overall look, feel, and performance of the tablet. It has all the features we were looking for and then some. It is easily upgraded with additional inexpensive memory, should the need arise. We don't expect that to happen, as the table has sufficient ram for nearly every forseeable need.

Not bad for what it is... faster than previous models I've purchased and the price was excellent at Walmart. I purchased an Ipad shortly after this, and it is so fast that Iquit using this one. Of course, the Ipad was about 8 times more expensive. This tablet however is a great budget purchase.

I love it for the most part - a basic 8-inch Android tablet is nearly impossible to find. This. Acer Iconic was a great deal at $80, especially for a 2024 brand-name tablet with Android 14. It comes with a short cord AND a 2.0 fast charger, but unit doesn't seem to have a fast charge capability. I was happy to find a compatible case @amz because I'd hate to handle this unit so frequently without a case. There are a few minor quirks I might be able to figure out in settings.

I love that the tablet is thin and metal instead of plastic and the bezels are very narrow giving more viewing area. It's a little slower than my old Samsung tablet but it's not a deal breaker. It can be a little glitchy but nothing bad. I got it on sale for around $40 which is well worth it for that price! If you want an entry level tablet or an ereader that does a lot more or one for the kids that won't break the bank. This is the tablet for you.

it's a nice little tablet, perfect for surfing the web, or perhaps some games like crossword puzzles, mahjong etc. I got it for a specific game that's graphic heavy with a lot of movement. it's kind of lagging in that game, not enough to affect gameplay but it's not with someone. the battery runs down quickly, when I plugged it in at 79% a little while ago it said it would take up to 4 hours before it was up to 100%. so it charges slowly. this would be great for emails as well. maybe for an older person that doesn't require much or a young person to teenager. does Facebook real well, does videos pretty well, I tried it on YouTube. the built-in speakers are tinny sounding so you'll want headphones. it does have a headphone jack. all in all not a bad purchase. if you have a bigger demand for gaming you might want to try something higher end

battery does not perform as advertised....charges very slowly and dors NOT last 10 hours. drains even when not in use.

DO NOT BUY THIS! THE LAST SECURITY UPDATE IS NOVEMBER 1, 2023! Because of this it is incompatible with many apps on the Google Playstore, like Home Depot and others. You can't use it to remove other Android devices. Too many bugs! I'm returning it to Walmart.

Very disappointed. The display would flicker on certain apps. The display overall was disappointing in resolution and response. The worst aspect of the tablet is the battery operating time and charging. The battery would lose charge quickly and deteriorate, which was not a result of the display settings and other settings, and the charging would degrade as time of use went on.
