AcuRite Wireless Digital Rain Gauge with Self-Emptying Collector with Rainfall History, Alerts, and Current Date and Time (00899)

I have had no problem with this rain gauge. I ordered it and was notified, a few days earlier then was promised ,that it was available at the store. So far, am happy with it.

can set for 24 hrs daily or event which can be longer than 24 hrs. Also, self emptying.

Second one purchased. First one lasted over 10 years. Replacement the same features so no new learning of how to program.

I found the setup to be easy with the instructions provided. The unit appeared to be calibrated very close to reading from other stations in my area so did not go through the cal procedure. Nice display and features for recalling events as well as the cumulative results. Battery powered for both display and sensor means that I don't have to worry about power outages affecting my readings. Quality construction and materials. Thank you!

These units work pretty well, with the most difficult thing being the mounting of of the "receiver." The screws (in my opinion) are too small and hard to work with, with adult- sized hands. Other than that, I really do like this product. It does keep good track of the rainfall.

Range gauge and console for displaying the Event, Daily and two accumlators (use them as you will!). The gauge itself seems pretty accurate (I did not calibrate it as the instructions suggested). The only issue I've had with the rain gauge is that a spider decided to create a web in one side of the measuring bucket, which, it appears, which caused the gauge to report 0.01 inches of rain when the day was sunny and bright, and the night was cloudless. The console is okay, but it would be nice if there was an option to backlight the display to make the numbers, which are of good size, easier to read in a low light condition. Certainly a good value for what it does. I would recommend it to a friend.

cheaply maid, within one month, the support for the tieder-todder became loose and was lost. I was able to fix it with a sewing needle. A month later, one of the plastic tabs that hold the unit to the base broke. I would NEVER recommend this for anyone. It's a waste of my hard earned money.
