AcuRite Wireless Digital Rain Gauge with Self-Emptying Collector with Rainfall History, Alerts, and Current Date and Time (00899)

I've bought several of these for myself and family. Last one I purchased for myself was too many years ago, maybe 8 to 10 years? We purchased a weather station a few months back, and then my old rain gauge went wonky. We have several acres, so the weather station is on one side of the house, rain gauge on the other. This brand gauge assures me it's accurate, and holds up to anything from a shower to a torrential downpour. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to keep up with your rainfall.

I have had no problem with this rain gauge. I ordered it and was notified, a few days earlier then was promised ,that it was available at the store. So far, am happy with it.

I like this unit because I don't have to go outside to empty it. I will thiugh need to put a cover on it for the winter months to keep the moisture from freezing and damaging the unit. This unit is very accurate too. Thank you.

can set for 24 hrs daily or event which can be longer than 24 hrs. Also, self emptying.

Second one purchased. First one lasted over 10 years. Replacement the same features so no new learning of how to program.

This is the second rain gauge we are using as the first one that was about 3 years old stopped being accurate. We clean it all the time from spiders and leaves....but now will be trying the new one. Had 13.5'' of rain here in Fayette County Texas....we put the new one up after the rains. The wind speed machine is about the same age and is now not working either and is about the same age. The husband follows the steps and replaces the batteries and set both units to A or B or C......it can be blowing 15-20 mph and the fins are turning fast and nothing is registering. We are buying new ones again.
