Good Ergonomic Mouse Alternative

Anonymous December 24, 2020

I work as a document reviewer, reviewing thousands of documents per week. Needless to say, this job involves a large amount of mouse movement and clicking. I bought this ergonomic mouse to relieve some repetitive stress movements and to hopefully stave off the arrival of carpal tunnel syndrome. I like this mouse a lot -- compared to a standard mouse, it's comfortable to hold, features a good scroll wheel, and, left and right-click buttons are easy to use and feel good. Recommended.

My wife complained about her hand and wrist until I bought this for her. She doesn't normally go for anything that seems new and different but was blown away by how much relief she received from using this mouse.

It fits nicely in my palm. I think that it stands at an angle as opposed to flat. This helps relieving pressure on my wrist.

I love that this mouse is easy to use and to convert from using a standard mouse! It relieves all of the elbow and wrist tension i was experiencing.

Easier on the arms and wrists

RBTRDGCA May 26, 2015

This is a very well-made computer mouse, quite visually appealing, good construction. The vertical orientation keeps pressure off your wrists and forearms, great for those suffering with "tennis elbow" or "golfer's elbow" or carpal tunnel issues.

Ergonomics +

NoMorePain February 22, 2016

I had a pain in my hand and wrist for a month and after using this for a week, all the pains are gone. I'm on the computer about 10 hours a day M-F, so this came with much relief. Wish I would have bought it sooner.

Easy to install use. Easy on the eyes.

Wil September 9, 2020

This is my first "vertical" or ergonomic mouse, so I didn't know what to expect. But I was tired of unnaturally rotating my wrist/arm for the standard mouse shape. With this one, I feel like my arm is at a more natural position -- near vertical, slightly tilted inward. It installed easily (Windows 10) and I was using it within seconds of plugging it in. The DPI switch is superfluous, since Windows includes a user setting for mouse sensitivity, but this one seemed far more sensitive ("fast") than any I'd used in the past. I had to change the Windows setting to very slow in order to use this mouse. It also *looks* really cool. My only complaints: (1) The back/forward buttons are in the way. Almost every time I grab the mouse, my thumb clicks one of those buttons accidentally -- I wish there was a way to disable them. (2) Also, though I have wide/thick hands, my fingers aren't incredibly lengthy so I have trouble getting a good grip on this mouse. I need one that's just as tall but not quite as long from front to back.

giving ergonomics a try

theproffessor December 23, 2014

read about handshake mouse some time ago. finaly, decided to give it a shot. the price was right. definitely takes some time to adjust. has all the features of my favorite mouse, the ms internet mouse. has all of the same features. for righties only. i'm not as fast with the mouse, maybe that will come with time, but i am all in at this point. what have i got to lose? repetitive and overuse injury syndrome?

Helps some, but not a lot

EyeHate2Shop July 22, 2016

My forearm and elbow pain have lessened, but I feel my hand tensing up almost MORE around this mouse than a conventional one, leading to hand fatigue and muscle/joint pain in my hands.
