love the ability to make item smaller, and the crumb tray makes for easy cleanup. would like to see a way to determine that was in same spot on both sides.

I bake my own bread for breakfast and slicing bread is always difficult especially the last a few pieces because when the bread gets thinner, it is difficult to steady it while cutting. I find this slicer very handy and I can cut the bread very evenly. I also like the tray under the slicer, which can catch the crumbs. It is also easier to wash because you can put it in a dishwasher.

This is a great product, but it doesn't cut to the thickness I desire. The slices were very thick for my liking, but the product does what it's supposed to do. It cut uniform slices, it was easy to set up and easy to use. I just wish there was a way to cut thinner slices.

It does what it's supposed to do but I find the the slices a little too thick for my own taste. The plastic is ok quality

Does not hold the bread well when slicing causing uneven cuts also slides or moves when slicing hard to use.

I bought a bread slicer because I apparently cannot cut bread in a straight line. The unit gave me hope as I unpacked it. However, I was soon to learn that this unit is not the one to buy if you want consistent slices all the way to the end. It is inexpensive plastic, has very wide slice guides that cannot be changed, and is not sturdy enough to keep the bread load and the knife going in the same direction. With every slice, the plastic guides move a lot, creating various sizes; the normal size seems larger than even the normal Texas Toast width. When at the end of the loaf, maintaining control is almost impossible due to the very weak sides, and no way to hold the loaf safely. Cleaning the unit is easy, since all the parts come apart--another factor that might age well as the unit is used--just by dumping the crumbs out.If you want regular slices that aren't very fat, keep looking. This is not the unit for you.
