I have been using this product in my garden and in my pits as well as raised beds. I have clay soil and this was used the first time I prepared my beds to loosen the soul and incorporate air so bacteria can thrive. It is also critical for potted plants as it needs to drain well in winter

I always buy the 4cubic ft. bag on sale under $38. I use it to make my own soil for potted peppers/tomatos/420 with homemade compost, coco coir and a few amendments. It does what it does. Keeps soil loose, aerated and draining properly. Then they all get transplanted into my gardens 20x15 multiple raised beds.

My local nursery ran out of this product. Usually I pay 30 dollars. This was a bit over 40 dollars. I really hope this products price doesn't go up any higher. We're already STILL PAYING COVID PRICES on many products on top of tariffs. The perlite was package good. It comes in a heavy duty paper bag. Better than the plastic bag from the nursery. If I had too I'd purchase again. Walmart price was lower than other vendors.

Newer gardener. I noticed that the lower cost perlite I purchased did not look at all like the perlite added to the better quality potting mixes I was experimenting with. It was smaller, more powdery and disintegrated easily in the potting process. This perlite is larger, airy, and looks up to the task, easily. Using this perlite I noticed a difference very quickly in germination rates and the effect on my established plants after replenishment. You're getting a larger quantity, however, the cost per cubic foot is competitive and the quality is incomparable. I will definitely reorder this product. It was a perfect experience. Communication and shipping was excellent and professional during holiday season. I grow vegetables, fruits, herbs and pollinators in raised beds and greenstalks from seed and cuttings in zone 10b.

For those like me that are not fully aware of what Horticultural Grade means, it means medium and down size perlite. So if you want large perlite pieces this would not be the right product. For what I was wanting it was perfect and shipping was immediate, and it came on time. I am very happy.

Wanted perlite for my plants. After looking at the pictures provided by the seller and the description, I thought OK perfect. What I got was small, mostly bird seed size pieces and a LOT of dust. Smaller than what you get in the packages at the store. I will not be buying from them again. I will use outside in my garden and chock this up to a lesson learned.
