Walmart.com has a good price on these AirCare humidifier filters. And shipping was pretty fast. I appreciate that. These filters have a good review from others who have purchased them.
ACTUALLY - I could sum these up in one word - EXCELLENT! these filters are exactly the same as the factory originals - AND - Walmart has the best price on the internet! Did I mention FAST SHIPPING?
The humidifier filters (or more accurately wicks), were more than adequate, work well in the machine and were 1/3 the price of comparable filters on Amazon. Shipping was prompt and packaging was OK. I will purchase these again. My rating system - 1 star unacceptable, 2 stars below average and disappointing, 3 stars average and expected. 4 stars, above average and pleasantly surprised, 5 stars outstanding. Most reviews are 3 stars.
Completely different interior design than the AIRCARE filters of that model number when I buy them packaged individually at my Menards Hardware Store. They fit in my humidifier, and seem to be working well so far. Wondering if this design will last as long as what I previously had.
These filters are like buying a low-quality knock-off. While they fit in the humidifier, their performance is disappointing—they only last a few days before needing replacement. You're better off spending a little more for manufacturer-brand filters that are reliable and long-lasting.
I'm not sure why, they just don't seem to add humidity like it used to. I don't know if these don't sit in the water far enough to absorb the moisture? or if the material that they're made of don't seem to absorb the moisture like the other brands I've had in the past. but I can say is it does not seem to add the amount of moisture to raise the humidity as it this unit used to do in the past. and the moisture absorbing medium was completely dry.
Ad clearly says AIRCARE (in CAPS), which anyone would assume is the brand name. It doesn't say Aircare substitute, generic, replacement, "just as good as", or anything else that would lead one to believe this wasn't the real deal. My bad? The pic doesn't show the Aircare brand, in its own smaller boxes, but I didn't know that at the time; it shows a cheaper imitation. I have no idea if this works as well or as long as the Aircare brand. They were only a few dollars cheaper per filter. 2 of the plastic housings had come apart in transit; they weren't in individual boxes, rather all 3 in a single large box so they could jumble around. Heck, I'd consider buying them if I could find the paper element that goes inside for a lot cheaper. Aircare brand says Aircare on the top and other info; these just said "top." They did arrive fast (overnight), and refund was prompt; didn't cost me anything to return them. Just spent a lot of time on righteous indignation and emails to return. If they were $5-8 cheaper each, I'd have kept them, they probably would have worked. I just object to deceptive advertising. Over the 10 years I've been buying and using these, have never had a problem, and the reviews I've seen seem to favor the Aircare brand. I use them Nov thru Mar, they last 6-7 weeks; can tell when they're not working well, the water reservoirs no longer have to be refilled every 36-48hr and the house humidity starts droppin
AIRCARE 3 Pack High Output Honeycomb Wicking Humidifier Filter for Model 1041 . Filters look like the AIRCARE filters I have purchased in the past but were not manufactured by AIRCARE and did not perform as expected. Filter is unable to achieve desired humidity in room forcing the humidifier to run continuously. Although the per filter price was less, I had to replace the filter more often. Definately will not purchase in the future.
Missing key part to work for my unit. It was stated that this would work.
These are not an adequate substitute for Aircare 1041 wicks. They did not work for me. The water from the bottom of the humidifier is only wicked up a couple of inches, which means they do not have as much wet surface area to put moisture into the air.
