Essick Air 1970 Humidifier Bacteriostatic Treatment, 1-Quart

The product is priced less than comparable antibacterials. Do not use bleach as it burns the wicks which are expensive and if this item is used the wick can function for more than one season. The fill line inside the cap is not real obvious but it is slightly less than a teaspoon.

This is a necessary product if you have a stand alone evaporative humidifier. Make sure you use the water treatment recommended by the manufacturer since not all humidifiers are the same. This keeps bacteria and algae out of the water, and therefore off the filter and unit. Once you get mold or any growth in there the unit just kicks it back into the air where you're breathing it in. Very unhealthy. I ordered it online to pick up at the store and was happy that it got there a day earlier than expected.

This product has the correct formulation to avoid water contamination. The water which is not recirculating, stop water, contaminates in a couple of hours. This product avoid that. It is a good product at a good price. Keep the bottle well closed

This product does exactly what it is intended to do. Using only an 1/8 of a capful per gallon of humidifier water keeps bacteria from forming on the filter and makes the water crystal clear. The container does not have a child-proof cap, which is much appreciated by a senior citizen with arthritic hands, but might be a concern for a family with young children.

Product arrived timely and in good condition. I was a little dismayed when the warning label said that it could cause irreversible eye or skin damage. Will use extreme caution with it. Good price for the quantity. Requires a very small amount with each fill. I cannot rate it's effectiveness because I only started using it today.

My review is negative because I did not receive my bacteriostatic treatment bottle that I ordered October 9. Order no. 2000135-07862401.

Would not use this and am returning to store. Dangerous chemicals would be in the moisture emitted into rooms and I would never be comfortable breathing the air contaminated by this product. I did not know until I received the product and read the ingredients and the warnings on the label by the manufacturer.

This is extremely toxic. We are using 5 drops of eucalyptis oil instead.
