This acrylic sealer is perfect for painted rocks. I found it very simple to spray a coat on my rocks to seal them and make them look shiny and beautiful. I shook the can pretty well and then held the can about 12" away from the rocks and sprayed, and my rocks came out with an even layer of shine, even after only one coat but I did do two coats to be on the safe side. The spray dries within 10 minutes or so and left the rocks my daughter and I painted looking shiny.
I love crafting. I recently made a wood sign to hang in my classroom. I stained the wood first and then I used chalk paint to put my name on it and a stripe. After the paint dried, I used the Aleene's spray acrylic sealer and it worked fantastic! I was concerned because I am used to using a brush to put on a sealer, but this was faster and easier. I will be using this spray from now on for my projects!
I am an avid painter and I use this acrylic sealer on my canvas. I have used several sealants and found this to be the easiest, most convenient sealer I've used. The acrylic sealer does not yellow my painting and dries rather quickly. This sealer has also helped seal glitter I've added to a painting. I enjoy the convenience of it being in a spray can instead of having to brush it on the canvas. Overall, I'd certainly recommend the sealer to anyone looking for a sealant for their crafts. I typically add two coats, but do not feel you need to. If you choose to add multiple coats, make sure to allow your craft to dry between applications.
I love using this acrylic sealer! You can use this on just about anything that you want to keep sealed to last longer and keep the colors vibrant. I used this on a few of my flower pots that my daughter painted for me. It's absolutely perfect and very easy to use. I just used the spray squirting it about 4 to 6 inches away and evenly coated the entire outside of the flower pot. You can see in my picture that it leaves a nice gloss finish. It will now seal her beautiful work on my flower pot for years to come. I was astonished at how fast it dried. Within a matter of minutes the acrylic had set and dried. You could feel the smoothness of it after it tried. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for any items you want to seal, weatherproof, or just keep vibrant colors!
We've been experimenting with different little craft projects and this acrylic sealer has been a blessing. From providing a protective coat on woodwork to spraying flowers for preservation, it's worked much better than I expected. Only problem I had was one of the caps was busted. But it dodnt really last long enough to matter that much
This clear acrylic spray is wonderful. I printed some stickers and put them on acrylic key tags then used this to create a clear glossy coat on top to make them shiny and protect them. It was easy to use and took very little spray to coat them. The result is beautiful. Love how easy it is to spray on and it dries quickly.
Anything from Aleene's is always a great product and this set of 3 cans of spray sealer is too!! So many things I want to get sealed that my husband makes for me I chose the clear matte spray. I can spray all of our wood products without a shine and know they will be sealed well and keep their natural look. The spray works fine every time, coats easily and dries fairly quickly compared with others I have used, so this is now my "ALWAYS go to"! Great product I highly recommend not only for craft projects but for pretty much anything you want sealed! : )
I used this to spray my outdoor patio furniture to save it from rusting when it rained. The smell is very strong, but that’s to be expected. I was able to connect my spray trigger to make it easier to spray. I did a couple coats to ensure full coverage. I did this right before the snow hit when there were a few warm days. I also planned on putting a tarp over the furniture for additional coverage. I recommend as I’ve seen no rust so far since I sprayed a couple weeks ago. This can probably sprayed every summer too.
These Aleene's 6 oz Spray Acrylic Sealer, Clear Gloss, 3 Pack is a pretty decent buy. Each can is roughly between 8.3 - 8.5 oz, so each one is not filled equally but close enough. The cans are made of a strong gauge metal with a quality spray nozzle that gives a good fine spray. The spraying is not really ideal for small projects as there tends to be a good bit of over spray that starts to run on small objects. I used a small amount on a painted figure just to test the effectiveness with a light dusting. The spray was fairly even but collected in a few spots but overall had good coverage. I was able to handle the figure within about 20 minutes although still tacky to the touch. 24 hours later the figure still had a slight tack to the touch. The finish is very glossy and almost like a wet gloss. It make take longer to fully cure. For a smooth to the touch finish more coatings would be needed. After spraying this project which was about 3 to 4 light sprays, the 8.4oz can droped to 8.2oz. Overall good spray that I would recommed.
I've been using the Aleene's brand for decades, so when I wanted a sealer spray, I decided to try it with the Aleene's brand as well. I wanted to see how it would work on paper especially so I sprayed a small paper covered cardboard box. As you can see it turned out well. It looks a shiny, but it's the flash. It's definitely not a glossy look and doesn't have a slick or slippery feel. It's going to be a great product for spraying charcoal or chalk art work. I'm also excited to use it for lots of other things as it can be used on wood.
