J-B Weld Water Weld Epoxy Putty - 2 OZ White

I have used JB Weld products for many years. I have an outside hose bib with a crack and saw that JB also has a product called Water Weld for plumbing and water applications. What is amazing is that this is so easy to use, had a rapid dry and cure time and hold up to high pressure and is impervious to water. This is a huge savings as repairing yourself will eliminate the cost of a plumber. Definitely a win, win!

pros - this is a must-have! it does what it does, and it does it good, it dries quicker than the other ones, easy to mix and durable. cons - it does not work with gasoline as it says, its very little quantity, dries too quick so you need to have a contingency plan before applying, if not it ends up on your glove more than the affected area.

Leaky pipe. Fixed easily. Figured it out. Only downside is conflicting instructions on how to use.

The washing machine thread pipe was leaking, and I used this water weld to patch it, and it works really well. In order for the product not to stick onto your hands, get your hands wet while rolling the putty. Other than it really stinks, it works like it should.

Totally satisfied with this product bought to fix a leak in my Wal Mart pond. It was easy, quick, and did the job fantastically! A lot of money was saved using this to fix it rather than buying another pond. Note: my pond did not have water in it when the repair was done.

I bought this to patch a couple tiny holes in my bathtub. It was very pliable and easy to apply it dried quickly. I have bought this more than once. The only problem that I have found if you don't use it for a long period of time it dries out once it has been opened. But for the price, even if you only use it one time it's still a good value.

Make sure you mix it really good till the putty becomes a solid color. Since they're both similar colors, it's hard to tell if they are mixed well so use good lighting and make sure it's well mixed before applying. It dries pretty hard and is waterproof.

It def has sealed the leak from what I can tell but surface is still moist and I thought it dried hard but it doesn't it stays putty like

JB water weld was damaged and already halfway hardened when I got them. I tried to use them the day they were delivered and the putty was visibly damaged and appeared like they were very old… not happy with this.

Even after the surface of metal was degreased and the surface sanded to create more surface area for adhesion, the mixed epoxy didn't seal the hole even after being left to dry for 48 hours. it may be good for some things, but not a drainage pipe
