Permatex 75151 Clear Rtv Silicone Adhesive Sealant, 3 oz

My car was leaking water each time it rains and I got this silicone to replace my weather stripping and keep water out.I have a sunroof that water leaks into and gets my carpet wet.This did not help though .I had to clean my port holes to keep water out.This product is still good to seal windows though.

Permatex Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant is the unsung hero of my DIY disasters. Fixed a leak I definitely caused, and now everything is watertight and drama-free. Applies smoothly, dries clear, and doesn't make me question my life choices halfway through. Honestly, it worked so well I'm suspicious.

Ok, this may seem strange but I bought this to do a DIY on my tubing from my garbage disposal to my dishwasher. I've never used my dishwasher because there's only one of me and I prefer to hand wash everything. I've noticed that I was having water backing up into my dishwasher. I could not find a plug to put in the hole of my garbage disposal when I took out the hose that went to my dishwasher. I was able to find a makeshift plug in my junk drawer, but it needed a little help with the sealing part so with a circular clamp and this silicone sealant, I was able to seal up my hole that fed into my garbage disposal. I basically cut the tube leaving approximately an inch and a half of tubing still stuck in my garbage disposal but with my makeshift plug and this silicone and a circular clamp I was able to seal it right up and it's holding strong.

I basically need the product to seal around a shower door that I installed and the product is the perfect size for what I need. I have a large tube of silicone which would be a waste considering I only require a small amount. The product is highly rated, it comes with a nozzle for dispensing the product and a cap to reseal the tube.

I used it to seal in a cooktop. The temperature rating in the sales description was 450 degrees Fahrenheit, however, the temperature rating on the product was nowhere to be found. Worked well. the future will tell the tail.

This sealant works amazing! Fast, super easy to use. Definitely something to have in the house if you ever need it. I just would wear a mask- odor is pretty strong. Other than that- amazing!

I was being quoted $1000 by companies to come reseal my bathroom well guess what I bought a nifty little tool for five dollars and the sealant it did the job just fine!!!

We used this to glue a goggle strap back to the mask. It does serm to hold well and dried fairly quick. It is a big tube if you only have a minor repair.

This glue has a much longer shelf life after opening than the GE product. Last tube lasted me a year of occasional jobs before what was left started to harden. The cap did not clog like the GE silicone product. But this cures almost as fast and it is very clear.

As a handyman, I use this to attach gaskets to dishwashers and washing machines, among other purposes. In a pinch, it made a satisfactory caulk to temporarily block a hole on the exterior side of a window; easily removed, when I got real caulk to replace it. When my old, walking, sneakers, rubber, soles separated from their base (not sure what the material is), I used this sealant on the rubber side, then clamped the sole and bottom together with a vise, which took a bit of wrangling. After leaving it in the vise for 24 hours, I was stunned at how well it adhered, even after about a week's worth of walking, turning, jumping, climbing, etc.! The goo can be messy, so make sure to wear disposable, plastic, gloves, and to use a paper plate or newspaper when applying the stuff on a table or other surface that you want to protect. My only issue is that the screw-on nozzle clogs easily, and, when finished with the job, it must be cleaned with a needle or awl or similar, lest it harden and be much more difficult to remove (I wouldn't advise using any chemicals to clean it, as they may affect any future applications). I don't think there's anything the manufacturer can do about it, but, it was a bit annoying, and is the only reason I deducted a star.
