I needed this product for under my jelly cupboards there was a gap under the baseboard, and my nephew had to get on his stomach to use this product worked beautifully sealed the bottom of the baseboard so no dirt can get under the bottom of the baseboard. Clean up with water was perfect.
great latex product tyat has a good amount of silicone included to give expansion and contraction like a $8 caulk does, yet stays budget friendly at under $3. clear dries in 24 hours to a matte finish. Can be painted afterwards without the beading as you would get on a 100% silicone caulk.
This is a good low cost caulk that holds up for 5 years easily. Has a long shelf life too. Just recently had to get into my caulk drawer...had a bunch of these and a bunch of $8-$10 GE Silcone tubes. They were all unopened. Every tube of GE was solid all the way through...I even cut the tubes in half to confirm. However, these cheap tubes, every one, was perfect and dispensed and cured perfectly!!! This is one instance when I would say the cheaper guy wins!
sealed up my sad, sweaty, drafty, ill fitting old windows, a thick line on every single seam, line, gasket, seal, strip, edge, everything i swear! it went on like white toothpaste, used my finger and filled in the gaps along the gaskets and seams and down in the ledges and closures. . and with it being michigan in December, it was dry and clear in 24hours and my window glass isn't sweaty or steamed up and they're not drafty! covering with plastic causes puddles and mold this is the best fix next to new windows. you can easily peal it all off in the summer if you want to open the windows, I'm not going to, this is anaconda and under $3 a tube. did 8 full size windows with 3 tubes!
I like that we could use the area and get the area wet before the complete cure time. We used the faucet 48hrs after application and we just had to remember to pay it dry as it was curing. Loved that it dried clear.
Review is not about the product since I haven't used yet. Review is on the local Walmart delivery. The delivery person left the package after hours at the door of our UPS Store where our mailbox is located. The facility was closed, but yet they left it, took a picture %26 I guess they didn't care that it was closed until early the next morning. Luckily no one decided to take the package since this was a business plaza with a restaurant 2 doors down. Not a smart delivery decision by their delivery person.
I ordered 3 clear. They gave me two clear and a white, someone obviously wasn't paying attention to what they were doing. I have no use for white. Now, I either take it and exchange it, which is gas I shouldn't have to waste if the job was done right in the first place.
First make sure to puncture the inner seal before use, unlike the white version that has no inner seal. It comes out white so it is easy to see where it goes, then dries clear. The smell is more noticeable than most caulk, similar to paint except more fruity, but it's not overwhelming unless you are in a small space. The issue is that it shrinks when it dries. I use just enough to fill the crack, making sure it contacts and seals completely, then after drying there are holes and gaps all over that I have to redo. Unlike other caulk I've used, it is best to apply this pretty thick, even on small cracks. It is sticky and shiny after drying, but it seems very flexible. Even though this looks better since it's clear, I prefer the white version because it covers better.
Use it once, seal it as humanly possible and when you go back to use it a month later, it does not come out... well, it does if you put 800lb ft of pressure on it enough to bend the frame of the gun, then starts coming out a tiny bit, as shown Not whats with this formula but it STINKS ! and needs to be reformulated First your confused by the white color, needs to be clearly marked.. see other reviews not it doesn't flow after sitting after a month Been alive for 55 years, and this is the WORST DAP product I've ever used AGAIN, AVOID and spend a little more to save on the waste, money and FRUSTATION, not to mention hand muscle cramps and tendan damage from trying to get the caulk out
I ordered a 4 pack of CLEAR caulk. The tube says it's clear but it's white. It's messy and hard to control. The consistency is awful, I had to scape it up after it dried because it was gummy feeling.
