Aleene's Clear Acrylic Spray Sealer, Matte 6 oz

this is the best option for someone who is just starting out that painting. The finish is great. it dries really fast. Make sure to use it outdoors or in a room with a fan and windows. it is very affordable. I would recommend to anybody who's painting

I used this spray to coat a wood model of the Eiffel Tower that I bought as a souvenir from Paris. The wood was unfinished and I wanted to coat it to keep the dust from sticking. The product sprayed well. I used a sweeping motion and laid down multiple layers. The layers dried quickly and then I let the whole thing dry overnight before putting it out on my shelves. It did not take a whole can to coat a 20 inch Eiffel Tower model. I am very happy with the results.

Good value. Took a little bit of a learning curve to get an even finish. Did what it was supposed to do.

I got this because it has a mat finish and I wanted to hide shiny glue spots. Yes, it kinda does that or at least it helps make the glue spots less noticeable but only if you let it air dry. Weirdly, if you touch it or use a heat gun, it dries almost immediately but that gives you a cloudy finish which is definitely not what I wanted. I was was using it to make paper flower wreaths and when you're making and gluing literally 100's of flowers, you simply cannot wait hours or even a day.

I would have liked more sparkle after it dried, but it was easy to spritz on and dried quickly. It helps to lay your project on a protected surface, as it leaves a slightly sticky residue.

This was easy to use and is indeed matte. It dries quickly. I personally did not like the smell. Lots of fumes so please don't use in an enclosed area. I would say definitely use outside. It took almost a week of me leaving my project out uncovered for the smell to be gone and for me to feel like I could put it away for next Christmas. Just be aware. Price is great.

The smell is very strong compared to similar matte sealers. I had to take breaks between spraying items and I was on an outside screened porch with fans on.

The fumes from this product were toxic. The smell lasted for days and it stayed sticky and took forever to dry. I love Aleene]s products I use the glue by the gallons but this stuff literaly STINKS
