My Craft Glue

Kevin March 25, 2026

I found the glue to use for crafts that need a bond that lasts longer than the project itself. I have wooden crafts that I build, so I choose tacky glue for that job. I also can't wait for the typical drying time, so I made sure to get the turbo version. This sets within minutes but remains forgiving during the setting process. It has an easy-to-lose cap, and you'll need to cut the top to make a hole for the glue.

Works great!

I used this glue for my door weatherstrip, and it worked great. It's easy to apply, holds well, and is a good value for the price. Definitely recommended!

Good Glue

Renee March 8, 2025

I used to think 'tacky glue is tacky glue,' and it makes no difference which one you pick. It took this brand to correct my misconception about tacky glue because this glue spreads better, dries faster, and hold better than the cheaper brands. It was worth the money, and it wasn't too much more than the cheaper kind.

Holds fast and is wonderful for crafts!

Susan April 14, 2025

This glue is awesome! It will stick within a few seconds, enough that you can let go of the item you are gluing. It does dry quickly, but I found it fully dries hours later so I often glue things and let sit overnight before I paint the item. But if you want to stick stuff together quickly as you are working, this is the glue for you. I am making a treehouse/dollhouse and I shared one photo with the glue holding up the wall shelf in the kitchen. You can see the white glue---it dries clear. It does take a full night to dry clear in some cases. It can dry cloudy, too, maybe if you put too much in a spot, so I try not to have it visible in most areas. Oh, since it does stick fast, I don't suggest using for dollhouse wallpaper or anything you need to place neatly because I tried that and I couldn't place the wallpaper fast enough and it was messed up. I ended up using a different glue for the wallpaper. But in the photo, I used the tacky glue to attach the wall shelf, as well as the wood strips on the chimney piece. The dollhouse is made out of paper mache so it did stick very well. I also used the tacky glue to stick down the rug in the second photo and the table and chairs.

Have been using Aleene's White Tacky Glue for many years. It is the only glue I will use in crafting.

Dries much faster

Allison May 2, 2026

It's more money, but it truly does dry faster. It's definitely thinner than the original Aleenes, but it drys much, much faster.

Didn't hold my sticker

Burt June 12, 2026

I my case I was trying to glue a plastic label back down. I held it down with my fingers for a few minutes and it didn't stick so I got some masking tape and taped it down and checked it the next day. It still didn't stick. It might work on other things but in my case it didn't work. So far it's the only time I tried it.

Very thin and runny and doesn't bind well

Jilly February 18, 2026

I bought this glue partially because of the high ratings, and also because it was on sale. This glue is a total disappointment. It's extremely runny and thin. It takes a long time to set up then fails to hold well. Even the top is a challenge. I had to cut the tip to open, but then sealing it again with a tiny little nub is a challenge. I was trying to glue a small ceramic pot hanger plant ornament -- a little goat -- that had broken. It took me a very long time to get the little goat's ear to stick. I tried to let the glue set up on the two separate pieces. It really never did. Then this glue also failed to bind the little creature to the metal planter. This glue is probably not meant for metal, but I had thought it might. Wrong. Purchasing this glue was a mistake. Look elsewhere if you have something to glue other than paper.
