To be honest, I use them to keep my decorative rugs in place. I am up in age and do not need to slip on a rug. All of my rugs are secured by these little Alien Tapes. They work wonderfully. When I want to launder the rugs, I can pull the rugs up and remove the little tapes. Launder and replace with a new Alien Tape. They are perfect. I can even vacuum the decorative rugs without them moving. They work perfectly. I highly recommend them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this and immediately put it to the test. Its the coolest thing. The box has 3 big rolls. Its super easy to use.You cut the size you need, attach it to whatever u want and that's it.This will save me money because I used to buy command strips and they are little costly.Alien tape is reusable therefore saving me some cash.I hung two things today and tomorrow I am sure I will find another project to do.This is so cool.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape comes with different sizes and very easy to use. Works almost on everything. I tried to use it for hanging pictures and it works great. Very sturdy and no need to nail on the wall anymore! I will continue to test them on other materials.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has the PERFECT name. When I took this out to repair a table, I said to myself….I've never seen tape like this before. It's like a thicker double-sided tape mixed with goop that's as strong as super glue. Super sticky so be careful. Used it to adhere this marble table top to the wooden base at my in-laws.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The instructions are clear that Alien Tape should only be used on sheetrock, wallboard, and painted surfaces if you intend the application to be permanent as it will peel off the top of the surface and/or leave a residue. On painted walls, it says you can spray water on the tape edges and peel gently to avoid damage. So be aware of where you intend to use the Alien Tape. My husband thinks dishtowels belong wherever he puts them down, and I wanted a handy hook on the side of the kitchen sink cabinet in hopes he would use it, but I didn't want to drill holes in the cabinet. Cutting the Alien Tape into small strips to fit the center solid section and to put on each side of the hook, I then peeled off the tape backing and pressed the hook to the cabinet surface for 30 seconds. It adhered perfectly. Another problem has been a storage spot for my garden gloves just inside the greenhouse door. I took a rectangular black plastic throwaway container, put a strip of Alien Tape along one long side, and pressed it onto a horizontal wood beam next to the door for 30 seconds. Presto – a handy spot for quickly grabbing the gloves on the way out to the garden and tossing them into on my return. I saw a fun design to attach painted hubcaps and old cutup garden hose for a “flower” arrangement on the outside of a storage shed, and that's my next project for Alien Tape. Think “outside the box” and you too will find many uses for it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use this ribbon to hang Christmas decorations outside. It works perfectly. I was able to tape and decorations pretty easily... just remember to do what the instructions say it's one of the most functional remover tapes I've used in the last few years clear covering is and delicate also great strength using it to affix names of my children to the walls of their room and wonders they stay fixed recommended
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for few weeks now and I must say that I really like it. I have used this on my rugs to keep them in place and for putting picture frames up on the wall. So this Alien tape is pretty impressive. It's a 2 sided tape but the texture of the actual tape if kinda like hard gooey material. It's very straight forward, easy to use. My only advice is to keep the plastic protector on the tape roll so you wont get pet hairs or lints on it because the sides of the tape roll is also very sticky. Now for using the actual tape for projects, make sure the surface is free from dust and debris. I wiped the surface real good and let it dry for a bit. Added my tape and it stuck real good. I am really happy with the outcome especially on my entryway rugs. They used to move around and the tapes I have used never really worked but this Alien tape got the job done. I highly recommend it.
doesn't stick very good, not as good as the tape.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alien Tape is a good, thick, two-sided, multi-use tape that works great for certain things. I would give it 5 stars for things like keeping rugs in place on tile floors. I secured both my bathroom and kitchen rugs with ease! But other uses... not so great. The instructions say that Alien Tape holds up to 17.5 pounds in place on any flat surface. I taped a plastic hook in my shower and hung a towel on it. It held briefly before falling off. I also tried to hang a medium-sized picture frame, well under 17.5 pounds, on a painted wall. I placed tape all around the inside of the frame, but it fell, taking paint with it. (Note: the box says "Won't harm paint surfaces" but the instructions inside the box say, "Do not use on painted surfaces." Believe the latter!). The box comes with three rolls of tapes totaling 30 feet. The tape can be rinsed and reused. I will find plenty of simple, everyday uses for this tape, but I will not be using it to hang anything heavy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the as seen on TV alien tape sticks well to most surfaces, the commercial advertisement has faults. 1: the commercial shows a security camera being placed on a brick wall. The instructions clearly indicate to use the tape only on smooth, non porous surfaces. 2: in both the commercial and the instructions included with the tape, UT indicates you can just twist the object you've stuck to, say, a wall and it will come off easily and completely. This is far from the truth. I placed a light weight 11" x 14" canvas panel art piece on the side of a metal file cabinet. I can't move it AT ALL. I will probably have to pry it off and hope I don't damage anything. I will only be using this tape on objects I don't want to remove.
