Almay Instant Glow Highlighting Duo, Pop It On, 0.1 fl oz

I was given Almay Instant Glow highlighting duo 0.16 oz/ 4.5g stick for my honest rating and review. Now that that's said, the package came undamaged and in good condition. The box has an instruction picture on the side of the box to make applying the highlighting duo easy. I was overall pleased with the appearance of the product and packaging. The highlighting duo is advertised as hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and won't clog your pores. I followed the sample instruction picture on the side of the box and blended with my fingertips. It felt smooth and creamy on my face and it was very easy to apply. It gives the perfect amount of highlight effect for everyday use but you can build the layers for a more dramatic shine. It doesn't look bad when re applying for a more dramatic shimmer either. I tested it on not only my fair complexion but also my daughters' olive complexion and it looked great on us both. My daughter and I absolutely love this highlighting duo and it look lovely on us both. For that, I rate it a 5 out of 5 and highly recommend this product for both every day use and going out at night.

As a busy, sometimes tired, working mom, I sometimes feel that I look exhausted and older when I look in the mirror or see photos of myself. I don't usually put a great deal of effort into my makeup regimen, and I've certainly never been into trends such as highlighting, contouring, or “strobing”. I decided to give Almay Instant Glow Highlighting Duo Soft Glow a try to see if it makes any difference in my overall look of tiredness, which seems to always be present lately. The instructions are simple and goof-proof, which helps, considering that I've never really used a product like this one before. This product has a different type of highlighters at each end: a solid “stick” highlighter and a liquid highlighter with a wand. The instructions say to sweep the solid highlighter along your cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose. You apply the liquid highlighter in dots above your eyebrows, on your cupid's bow, and between your lower lip and chin; and then you sweep it along your brow bones. Then you blend the highlighters in. I applied them over my usual makeup, and I did initially notice a little bit of a shimmer. I figured that the best test would be to take a photo in natural light, so I did. When I compare the photos of myself with my usual makeup routine and using the highlighting duo, I see a big difference. With the highlighting duo, I look much less tired and more “refreshed”. I'll definitely be using this product on a daily basis. It's the next best thing to a nap and a cup of coffee.

Application With the highlighter being designed similar to a lipstick application is very simple, run over your cheekbone, T-area and below your eyebrow lines, then blend to your likeness. Texture The texture feels creamy, light and breathable on my skin; I have not experienced any allergic reactions, acne or irritation. Outcome The Almay Instant Glow definitely makes a huge difference in my makeup, it adds a very beautiful and natural shimmer to my face. Final Thoughts This highlighter is perfect for weekends and special occasions and has become my number one go-to product. Highly recommended to friends and family.

I was worried how well this would actually blend in. It does blend in and very very well. I was happy with this. I don't think this had that much of a glow but that's a good thing. I did feel feel it gave off a little glow though. I'm happy with it and will keep using it and I would recommend it.

I think that this is a nice product/idea. I like that you can put on some of this product and then blend it with the other part of this product. The color is nice and light and to me doesn't feel as heavy as some products do when you put them on right away or they start to feel heavy or disgusting as the day goes on. I also like how easily it all blended together and how it didn't look like I was wearing any make up. I normally don't wear much or any make up because I don't like how dark most make up looks on me. I think that this is definitely something everyone should try if they are looking for a different highlighting make up.

First, let me say that the highlighter is extremely easy to use. It goes on very easy. I simply used the wand and blended it in. A little goes a very long way. With that being said, I'm not sure that the shade is for everyone. It seems to be made for lighter complexion ladies. I put it on and noticed that you could barely see it, once it was blended in. Therefore, I added more and more to achieve the highlighted affect that I was looking for. If you are looking for something subtle and very natural, then this highlighter is for you. If you are a beginner, this highlighter would work perfectly. You really can't mess it up. It is so low-key that you barely notice that it is there. However, it does give you a nice shimmer and is extremely easy to blend into the skin. Overall, I would recommend this highlighter for those looking for a natural look. It allows you to build and build to achieve the look that you want. If you are looking for something more dramatic, this is not the product for you. You will be very disappointed. Also, if you are a quasi-makeup expert, you might want to go with something different.

If you are looking for a very subtle and very natural highlight this product is for you. I personally like a lot of glow on the skin so I tend to gravitate toward the more bright powder highlighters because I find they're easier to build. This particular shade is very very pretty for the light skinned cool toned girls like myself. It gave a nice subtle sheen where applied. What I don't like about liquid products is that they tend to move around when you are trying to build them up for more intensity. This product was no exception and did exactly this when I was trying to make it a little more vibrant. That being said, I would recommend it for those that want an every day subtle highlight or are new to highlighting and are afraid to jump right into the more intense highlighters available. This is definitely a good product for starters because it's very easy to use. I found the easiest way to apply was to dab the wand on the skin where you wanted your highlight and then to tap it out with your finger tips to spread it out where you needed to on your face. Both the cream stick side and the wand worked best when applied this way for me personally.

It works like a charm and goes great when combined with a cream blush and contour. The liquid side contains a “soft focus formula” that is meant to be dotted like little pearls with a plush applicator above your brow bones, along your Cupid's bow and chin, and the inner corners of your eyes for that dreamy, soft, feminine look. Personally, I prefer to sweep the highlighting stick along my brow bone to highlight that area after filling in my brows as I feel it looks better that way and lasts longer. Overall, I would say this product provides a lovely natural-looking glow. It's hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. It's also very sheer and lightweight, so you won't have to worry about it clogging up your pores.

I highly recommend the Almay instant glow highlighting duo. This works great as a blemish hider after I put on a base makeup. This particular color is a little darker than my actual skin, so I only put it on when I'm doing a more heavy look.. I like the shine; I think it gives extra appeal. I have sensitive skin, and I had no problems with this makeup giving me any issues. It's very subtle, and for someone like me who doesn't wear much makeup, I think it's a great addition to the makeup I do wear. I would suggest you give it a try.
