America's Choice Animal Bedding Pine Pellets, 40 lb Bag

For roughly $7 this is a great deal for use as our cat litter rather than the twice as expensive specifically marketed pellet cat litter kind. Our cats are still young kittens and we had no trouble with transitioning them from traditional clumping clay litter to this. We have 3 kittens and this bag has lasted over a month with daily scooping and odor seems minimal once solids are removed from the box.

In camping off grid I use this in my created potty. This is much better to use than kitty litter. Much more efficient in covering what needs to be covered. Works a lot better using your 5 gallon bucket. A trash bag or two and a towel seat from Ozark. Or a pool noodle. Becomfy and NOT trying to sit on the rim of a 5 gallon bucket... don't do it. I have used these pellets for "brown" element in my compost rotator. This has worked well for me in the past years. Was glad to find it still readily available. If you compost at home, these pellets work well in balancing out the "greens," such as banana skins and various vegetables , which are more easily available from everyday kitchen scraps than the browns. I keep a covered bucket nearby and dump about 1 cup per 1 bowl of kitchen scraps. The soil and worms will thank you!

I cant believe that in all the many years I've had cats, I'd never heard of using PINE PELLETS as cat litter. Folks, I'm telling you the truth, it doesn't get any better than this. I use them with the Vibrant Life 3 piece sifting cat litter pan set that costs less than $17. The system is SERIOUSLY CLEAN. No clay litter flying out of the pan %26 all over the floor. No tracking it into the next room with their paws. Just clean pine pellets in the sifter tray (only about 1" high for two small cats is all you need), and it STAYS IN THE TRAY. If a few stray pellets land on the floor every now %26 then, no problemo! You just sweep them up w/ a little dust pan %26 brush and dump them back into the tray. And you DON'T need to create any space between the sifter tray %26 the tray underneath it, as I thought you'd need to. The liquid turns the pine pellets into pine dust. REALLY! Soft, ODOR FREE, zero pounds zero ounces of DRY pine dust. So no more smelly heavy bags of used clay litter to make your trash bags seriously heavy to carry outside to your bin for trash day. All you need 2do at the end of each day (or whenever you see it) is 2use a paper towel or moist wipe 2remove the solid waste, put it in a used plastic grocery bag %26 WASH YOUR HANDS. Honestly I don't notice any odor. Maybe the pine pellets absorb it. A traditional scooper doesn't really work unless you're okay w/WASTING pine pellets because they're too big 2fit through the slots. After you remove the solid waste, just lift the sifter tray w/ the "handles" on either side and shake it gently side to side a few times. Whatever pine dust hasn't already fallen through the slots falls through then. Then you just rest the sifter tray back into the bottom tray and replenish the pine pellets as needed. At THE END OF THE WEEK (or sooner if your cats are bigger, or if you have more than two), you just carefully dump all the dry pine dust into your plastic grocery bag, tie it up securely %26 drop it into your main trash bin til it's ready to go out to the outside bin for trash day. I couldn't store 40 lbs of pine pellets where I have the litter pan, so I filled an old plastic container to near the top w/pine pellets %26 weighed it - exactly 5lbs. Then I dumped them into a plastic grocery bag. I did this twice w/ two separate amounts. Five pounds each. The weight of the container is negligible. It's nearly 2 weeks and the first 5lbs still isn't gone. My calculations (double-checked) say that this 40lb bag of AMERICA'S CHOICE ANIMAL BEDDING PINE PELLETS will last 4months with two small cats (not kittens). That's four months of cat litter for $8.97!!! Woohoo! Of course, if your cats are bigger, or you have more than two, you'll be using more pellets. Bottom line, PINE PELLETS are definitely THE MOST ECONOMICAL cat litter, regardless of size or %23 of cats. It's SUPER CLEAN, leaves ALL the waste ODOR-FREE %26 after use, it turns into DRY, SUPER LIGHT pine dust .

I use this for cat litter. It's so much cheaper than buying the cheapest clay litter. Not all cats will immediately like using it. I suggest buying one bag and blend with some clay litter to help get them used to it. Luckily, my five were easy to transition to pine pellets.

Absolutely love the product and price . I've purchased several times. I hope they dont run out since each order they say low stock. I wish I started using pine pellets instead of traditional litter. It's natural and no dust or chemicals to deal with . Lasts longer and cheaper than cat litter. If you clean your litter box daily then you have no issues with odors. I just hate how the bag usually has a rip from the delivery or from the shipping process

love these! use them for kitty litter and sooooo much less smell and I had a problem with maggots with the litter no matter how fast I changed it but they disappeared with this product!

The pine pellets do not smell as much like pine as Mega Zorbe Pine Pellet bedding from the feed store. The BIG problem is that either Walmart does not like delivering multiple bags of pellets weighing 40lbs each or they have a supply problem. I have been unable to order more than 4 bags in total at any one time. This is regardless of whether I do delivery from the store 3 Miles away from me or from their distribution delivery center. If you kist need a couple of bogs in 3 or more days, you should be OK. This is much cheaper to use than Feline Pine. I caught on to this when I volunteered at the local animal shelter.

Pine litter is my go to, and this was my first time ordering this specific brand. One of them was completely out of the box with visible rips in the bag and the other was bursting out of the box. Do better, Walmart!! I cannot tell you how many times I have either not gotten my items or they arrived damaged like this!!

although i like the pine pellet litter, i have stopped purchasing American Choice. the packaging is so inferior, i was spending way too much time on the phone trying to get credit. more times than not, fedex refused to deliver it because the box and / or the plastic bag had punture holes in it. i now buy a similiar product from chewy. no problems.
