We ordered natural wood for our welcome flag. The flag doesn't get snagged or get tangled up. The price was very affordable too. I highly recommend this flag pole for all flags including old glory.

Metal poles have always bent or broken. This wooden pole has been up for several weeks through a few windy storms. So far so good.

The pole was wooden, just what I ordered. But you always show it with a sleeved flag, always. It gives the illusion that the flag comes with it when it does not. I was disappointed when I opened the package thinking I could install it shortly after delivery but no flag. I had to order and wait for one, which caused me not to have my flag for the holiday and I am a veteran. This was the first time I didn't have my flag installed.
Third Anley pole owned so far. Other two had totally different lifespans. First had wooden knob at top crack and break off within weeks. Replacement lasted nearly five years, but knob ultimately cracked and fell off, resulting in need for this most recent purchase. Easily accommodates sleeve-type flags. Fastening hooks do become discolored, but never had a problem with them rusting out. Reasonable deal for $20-$25.
The flag was exactly what I wanted, but the pole was the wrong width! I just made it work.
The top ring with the clip on it that holds the flag was broken. Sent a message about it, but never heard anything back.
