API Algaefix Algae Control Solution, 16 fl oz - for Freshwater & Planted Aquariums

I use this in my outdoor full-sun water fountain..... (just water in it). If I add this to my water every time I replenish it I do not have an algae problem... .. i can definitely tell a difference if I didnt use it. I will get an abundance of growth in like 3 days. One bottle lasts me the whole season. The only thing I do not understand is that on the label it says it's safe for fish and "wildlife", but toxic to domesticated pets. So just be aware of that.

this really helped with my fish tank

It is hard for me to get to the back of a large fresh water tank so I use the Algeafix to help places I can't get to. Works fine and some of my fish are over 15 and they are fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to store. The bottle does not leak. This is a good value product for your algae needs. With our filtration system, we do not need much to keep algae at bay. I am looking forward to seeing how this does in our other tanks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t know that Algaefix is geared towards bigger aquariums. I was wanting a betta and was going to use Algaefix to keep the tank clean, but this stuff is is too powerful for my small tank. I will try to find something more for what I need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our fish tank was pretty bad before using Algaefix! After we cleaned the tank and put this product the water stays clear for a while. It's great that it doesn't take very much for it to work and keep your tank clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not use this product more than once. It did seem to help with the algae but it seemed harmful to my snail. It could be unrelated but my snail started laying upside down at the bottom of the tank in the same spot for days. I thought it was dead. But then it would be in a different spot. I finally saw it move one day so it is alive but it is no longer as active as it used to be. It could have just been a coincidence but I am not taking any more chances. There was no smell and it was easy to use and seemed like it was doing what it was supposed to but I'm not sure if it is snail safe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We let the tank get gross in hopes that this product would work-it didn’t. Due to the size of the tank we used just a couple of drops. The bottle had a safety seal which was nice but due to the size of the tank I’m not sure if more would have been helpful?
