I use 3/8 tsp in a 20 gallon aquarium once a week and it controls algae great. I dilute it with a small amount of water and pour it into the filter. You have to make sure you do not exceed dosage and that there is an air stone operating. I have 2 large fantails. They show a very slight sign of stress for the first few hours by gulping air, but that quits quickly. I tried a popular cheaper brand which doesn't help much because it says to use at the first sign of algae, That defeats the purpose of keeping the aquarium glass and water clean to start with.

Sometimes you can't help it if algae start growing in your tank. That's why I use the Algae fix each time I do a water change or ad water. Follow the directions, you only need a small amount for your aquarium. It works extremely well. :)

Just be sure to follow the instructions carefully and monitor your tunk during treatment. It’s easy to dose and effective when used as directed

I use this in my outdoor full-sun water fountain..... (just water in it). If I add this to my water every time I replenish it I do not have an algae problem... .. i can definitely tell a difference if I didnt use it. I will get an abundance of growth in like 3 days. One bottle lasts me the whole season. The only thing I do not understand is that on the label it says it's safe for fish and "wildlife", but toxic to domesticated pets. So just be aware of that.

I have 2 tanks I have used this on. A 10gal and a 5gal today is day 3 of the first treatment and the green algae is already brown and the water is so much clearer. The measuring device only has a 5ml and 10ml dose level so I used a medicine syringe for the low doses. 10 gallon tank requires 1ml and the syringe worked perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't really think the performance was very good. I used it in my tank but didn't see any improvement to the algae. After using this product I also had several fish die, I'm not sure if it was related or not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] API Algaefix seems like a good idea, following instructions it may take multiple treatments to work. I did appreciate that it is space for my fish and live plants. I didn’t notice much difference after the first treatment and plan to keep trying every 3days as instructed to really clean and clear the algae.

I never received items that I was charged for 3. In fact. Including 2 pounds of hamburger, 90%. Very disappointed There is nowhere that you can look on. The app for refund returns or not valid with a chat AI.
