best filters ever however i have 2 fish in 10 gallons and i have to change it every 2 weeks not monthly or my water gets gross

I have been using this filter system for about 6 years. It is very efficient for our 10g tank. We have 8 small to medium size fish. I replace the filters about every 3rd month. I suggest rinsing under running water for 1 or 2 minutes before replacing.

I have had this filtration system for over 6 months. It has worked extremely well, considering that I am pushing the bio-load in the tank (10 inches of fish in a 5 gallon tank). The filtration system itself makes no noise, other than a soothing waterfall sound, as the water is returned to the tank. The water flow may be a bit much for a male betta; however I have a female in this tank and have buffered the current with plants. She and her tankmates do fine. Now, if Walmart would just keep them in stock, I'd be 100% happy!

These filters are easy to find with the number system. They are easy to replace and I am very pleased with how long they last (I don't change them every month, I rinse them off) My tank stays clean. I see someone complained about the noise, I like the running water sound. It is like having a fountain in the dining room. If their filter was making other noise, it must be the filter pump. To be honest, the filter itself can't make noise.

WalMart used to carry this 6 pack of filter cartridges in the stores but now they only carry the single or 3 pack. I found this online and with free in store delivery, it's very convenient to pick up and much less expensive per cartridge. Very pleased.

Aqua Tech 5-15, 3 pk is a great deal, versus buying them separate. It met my expectations and it filters any small items in the tank.

This filter does what it is supposed to do. I have been using it on my 10 gallon for about 3 months now. There is no need to change the media every week. In fact that is the worst thing you can do. There are beneficial bacteria in the filter that break down the ammonia from fish waste. It's called the nitrogen cycle and it is critical to a successful aquarium. If your water is cloudy then you are most likely overfeeding your fish. Every couple of weeks or so you can rinse the catridge out in used aquarium water or luke-warm dechlorinated tap water. The chlorine in untreated tap water will kill the bacteria.

Product arrived late, but appears to be in good condition.

We've not had to replace a filter yet but the filter that came with my tank is amazing. I used to have to change my filter ever 2-3 days but so far I've gone 2 weeks.
