Best fish tank filter ever.
This is the best fish tank filter I have ever had in 20 years of a 55 gal tank. The flow is terrific and the maintenance is superior. Keeps the tank sparkling. It is quite.

great filter, effective and durable
i love this filter. i have an older one on my old tank, and its still running like a champ many many years later. its survived several brownouts and power cutoffs, which seem to kill most other filters. i just got this new one for my newer tank, since none of the other filters i have tried match the durability of this one. it also works great and keeps my tank very clean. filter media is a snap to replace, which is a bonus

The instructions were easy. I put it together in like 5 minutes. There's no sound on the pumps. It works excellent and I like that it came with charcoal filter.

like how quiet it is . I've seen reviews saying its loud . but the one i got is quiet . just got to add water to the filter holder to start so it runs smoothly. but im enjoying it.

Works great. This one was to replace my old one that was just like it. the motor had worn out. This one runs much quieter.

Not quiet.
Im trying to get used to the noise. Tank is full, yet water trickling sound is distracting. Motor humming adds to the cacophony. I'm a bit disappointed.

loud
Not sure why they label it "whisper". I bought this to replace a 2nd filter for my 55 gallon tank. I've been through many filters over the years and this one I have to say is the loudest. it also vibrates the tank. I'll see if my fish contine to tolerate it. Other than that it does what it's supposed to do but I wouldn't recommend buying this.

Loud for a "whisper"
I have to "tweak" it daily to stop the noise. It just sometimes randomly gets so loud I either have to unplug it or mess with the knob on the top some more to find a spot it will stop being so loud at.

I've been having this filter for a month or so, it makes too much noise no matter how frequently I change the filter. Would love a refund on this item.

ineffective and contaminated!
i bought two of ghese in different sizes specified for my tanks. one has caused a nasty white substance to grow all over it and my fish are dying! Do NOT BUT THEM!
