Aqua Culture 10-Gallon Turtle & Aquatic Reptile Habitat Starter Kit

I bought this tank for my daughters pet Anole Lizards. The heat lamp works great for them. The screen fits to the frame once the clips are in place. I find this product to be a great for the value. By the time you go to the pet shop and buy the 10gallon tank, the heating lamp and bulb, the screen, the rock structure, you have spent nearly twice as much as what this kits is for a complete package.

I use this tank for my turtle and the price was great!!!! It is very big and sturdy. The lamp that comes with this kit is great along with the food screen top and filter. The basking platform for the turtle is pretty neat. I love this item from Walmart.

This kit is a great starter setup for a small aquatic turtle, such as a red eared slider. (Any turtle over an inch in length needs a bigger home, approximately 10 gallons per inch of shell.) The only thing this kit doesn't come with that aquatic turtles NEED is a UVB lamp and a water heater. It comes with a lamp and heat bulb which work well, but turtles also need UVB for a healthy shell. The Tetra submersible heater which is also sold at walmart works very well to heat your turtles water. The filter keeps the tank very clean but waste will get trapped under and on the far side of the little cave opposite from the filter. I recommend propping the cave up so it sits higher if you are using it as a basking spot (don't use gravel for that, it is not good to have in your turtles tank!) this is because turtles need a place where they can bask and get their shell completely dry and you also want to have as much room to fill the tank with water so they have room to swim. Remember to always do your research before you buy a new pet. Red eared sliders can live up to 40 years and grow up to 12 inches in length! They are a life long commitment and it is illegal to release them into the wild if you get bored with them!

Bought this tank for the green anole we won at a carnival! We do not use the water part of the kit but we use everything else! Works great and was a perfect price!

I had shopped around looking for the items in this kit and they were considerably more expensive than this kit. I was not expecting this to be as nice as it is. Very Very easy to set up. I highly recommend.

This starter kit is an excellent value, especially for the price. It is better to keep the price down on the starter kit and buy your own heater, if necessary, and a couple of water plants separately, to keep the price affordable.

I was excited when the tank came, but as I was unpacking everything, and got to the day/night bulb, it was broken beyond anything I would have expected. It was crushed into hundreds of pieces, like as if someone stepped on it. I did notify customer service and was given a partial refund, that didn't do much for me, since I could not find a replacement bulb for this item which resulted in getting a whole new light fixture and bulbs from my local pet shop. All in all I would recommend this tank for small turtles. The filter is just fine, and the lid locks on just perfectly, and my turtles love the sample food that came with it.

The setup was as described but they had everything loose in the Tank, the bigger items had boxes which helped protect them but they went CHEAP on the Heat Lamp and DID NOT PAD OR BOX IT! Needless to say with heavy small boxes rolling around in the tank during shipping it dented and crushed the Lamp. I ended up bending it back somewhat but its the idea of it not being packed right. This is the Manufactures fault and not Walmart as it was an Inside the tank issue.

The aquarium kit was delivered on time. When the box was opened, the basking "rock" was broken in half. The kit also came with a light fixture that was dented and very poor quality. Very disappointing.
