Aqueon ProScraper 3.0™ Short Aquarium Algae Scraper

Can't believe how simple and easy this thing is to use. I have two aquariums I've been scrubbing algae off with blue scrubbers. That works, but this takes the algae off in no time at all! Really impressed.

Some areas of my aquarium are very delicate and prone to scratching, so for that I use the very useful plastic blade, and for the tough parts that need some good elbow grease, I use the rust resistant stainless steel blade. This entire scraper is built to last, and very comfortable in my grip. Very useful and efficient.

I have used a few different types of bacteria and honestly these have made me a lot less stressed about the condition of the water. They are slow release balls which make it hard to over dose which is my main concern.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 aquariums and have tried all manner of different scrapers, but this little one is really good. 2 of the tanks are freshwater planted with high light levels so I scrape algae growth off the glass a couple times a week, and it's much wider than others I have used and really speeds up the job. I don't have an acrylic aquarium that would require the plastic scraper, but I found it worked very well for run of the mill algae, but I did need to use the metal one for the crusty stuff. The short handle made it good for precise work, but it did mean my hand was in the water. No big deal though, I'm gonna have my hand in the water for cleaning anyway.

The long handle allows me to easily scrape the algae from the glass without getting my hands and arms wet. Being able to use this product on multiple surfaces and it's gentle on them makes it very ideal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought Coralife Marine PURE Water Care Bacteria Supplement 4 pack when I get my aquarium. I used it as part of starter to stabilize the water. It's working good and is the size is great, minimizes the chance of overdose for the fish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these and unfortunately didn't realize they were for salt water. I only have a fresh water tank so I was unable to use them as they would harm the water and finish within my tank. They came in a blister like pack, and I don't know if it was from the Florida sun but 2 of them were basically melted.
