Works well, quiet motor, maintained a clean tank and did not throw off my tank levels with the switch.

So far this little filter has worked great. It's been running for just a few days and it has really cleaned up our tank. It's very quiet as well.

Well, the smaller size is quieter. I have this on a 40 gallon breeder fish tank and it is noisey. One of the 20 gallon ones was noisey at first then quieted down. Not this one. Other than that, its starts easy, the water flow is adjustable, which I did not know. It may still be a little strong for slow moving water prefered fish. I did swap out the filters for other media (sponge, biomax, and bagged carbon instead). And I don't use the spout for water changes as I vacuum the gravel and for me I'd make a mess doing it with the spout. Otherwise, except for the noise level compared to other in tank motors this one is way better so far. For being an aqueon and having an aqueon tank, I do have a little trouble getting it over the lip of the tank. Once its on its fine. And if anyone wants to know, no it does not come with a intake filter. If you need one you'll have to order one. Not something I'm concerned about but something to know.

The filter works fine, but it is unnecessarily loud. I have about 8 HOB filters currently and this is by far the loudest. Even with water fully raised there is constant high water flow sound and a rumble.

Started leaking and woke up 5 gallons of saltwater on my floor. Needless to say I returned it.

I bought this last week and everything was going great, the pump was working fine then out of nowhere the pump decided to stop working so now i dont have a filter for my tank and have to replace this because the company cant make a solid product.
