Since discovering this brand, I've really enjoyed all their products. I knew I had to give this Arctic Air Ice Jet air cooler a try. I live with 4 boys and a husband who is always hot wherever we go. We can have the most powerful fan on in the house and they are still hot. I loved how easy it was to set this Arctic Air Ice Jet air cooler. I charged it via the USB cord that it came with, took out 3 built in reusable ice packs (added ice boost powder packs with water, shake it and place it in the freezer until frozen (a couple of hours). Take 3 out and place them inside the Arctic Air Jet air cooler and there you have it a nice cooling air with a unique changing LED. Lightweight and portable. Can be used anywhere from a nightstand, in the living room, at the kitchen, outside by the pool, even camping! It worked for our family, and I love that the ice packs are reusable and convenient to have. Kids are very happy with this addition and I am happy it doesn't require major batteries, easy to recharge via USB.
This is my second Arctic Air product. Last year, we purchased one of the little tabletop cube models with the water reservoir. We were pleased with our purchase, and so this summer decided to buy from this brand again. We bought the Ice Jet because of less mess/less hassle: you don't have to worry about filling it with water. (I will say that our little cube Artic Air did stop pulling water from its reservoir at a proper pace, so the only way it really cools the air now with an evaporative function is if you freeze the filter. And it didn't take super long to "break" to this extent-- maybe 5 months. Then again, we did use it almost every day in the summer.) Now. As for the Artic Air. It is pretty mess free, stress free. It is a space-saver. It is economically priced. It's got a cute futuristic design. We are very happy with it and at this point, wouldn't hesitate to buy from the Arctic Air brand again. BUT! You need to know what you are getting. I am rating this based solely on what it is, not what some people wish it was. It will not cool your house or your whole apartment. If your room is large enough, it might not even cool the whole thing. We live in a studio apartment and have it going in a tends-toward-stuffy largish living room in the summer. We also have a dual sided fan in the window in that room, and often a small desktop fan going, too. That said, you can DEFINITELY tell the difference if you have the Ice Jet on. It's for sure more comfortable with it on. We consider it a big help on hot, muggy days. You do have to keep freezing the ice packs, because they unfreeze after a few hours, but there's three of them-- you can always have one or two left in the Ice Jet while you freeze the remaining ones, so that way you're never without any packs in the unit.
I love this Arctic Air Ice Jet. It is the perfect size to use when you need a little cool air at work, beside your bed, sitting outside, or in your camper. The little ice packs are easy to fill and freeze in your freezer. To add a little cooler temperature, add the ice boost power pack to each ice pack. It is easy to use and is a perfect addition instead of a fan that blows hot air.
Second time I used it ì I put all 3 ice packs in turned it on and i heard a crack but it was still working so I let it go and it leaked all over. The next day I started with 1 ice pack and it was fine. When I use all 3 ice packs and turn it on it still works as well as my fan, sometimes less. I would not recommend this product. It didn't live up to the name Artic Air.
I bought 4 of these and have only had them a few weeks and they were working ok but now 2 of them start but turn back off. One of the ice pack was not usable the opening was blocked.
This fan does deliver slightly cooler air than the surrounding temperature, but the fan doesn't blow very hard. It was kind of stupid for me to think it could make a difference using it in my car in over 90 degree weather, but if you're just looking for a light breeze on you in slightly warm temps, it WILL work for that. I didn't realize it needs to be plugged in to work, i expected it might hold a charge, but it does not. So it will work wherever you can plug it in, although there is no handle or easy way to move it around. Very lightweight too. The regular 3 speed fan I have in my car (that doesn't have AC) had a much more powerful fan and although it doesn't "chill" the air, I find it is more worthwhile to buy, with a better price.
They are awful! Only lasted an hour and it had to be right at you to feel it…not worth the money time or effort!i returned the ones i got a few days after i got it!
Very bad product for the money I paid I will be going for a refund the water melted it never got cold and water stayed inside and out dripping all over my desk👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼bad bad bad
It does not work/feel any different then a normal fan. The ice packs are just an added pain in the booty. The air that comes out with the frozen ice packs is not colder.
This item was disappointing. It does not cool area like the state's The water coolers do not last for 4 hours. It only lasts for at least about hmm. 45 minutes to an hour and it does not keep your room cool.
