Love it! I'm sure after a little use it'll be softer or if it's washed, I've had wool blankets. all my life and new ones are a little stiff but it is warm. I put it on my bed with my flannel sheets and it's just fine. if you need more, just throw a comforter over it. well constructed nice seams. I'm sure it'll last me a lifetime. I would recommend it

I have used military surplus wool blankets for about 35yrs. I keep some in the basement and some with our camping gear. I even keep a few in the car throughout the winter months. Needless to say, I have a good level of experience with wool blankets. Out of my collection of wool blankets, the Arcturus wool blanket is my new favorite. It is heavy, warm and a tad softer that the surplus blankets. I am currently using the Arcturus blanket on my bed under a more decorative cotton blanket to keep the wife happy. It is great. Warm and very comfortable. It is very well made and I enjoy the contrast stitching around the edges. I highly recommend the Arcturus surplus wool blanket. The Arcturus Military Wool Blanket is awesome! Its pretty nice and well made, great wool material. I've use it for camp fires in this unpredictable winter seasons, outside my home in frigid temperatures and it works wonders. This 64x88 wool blanket will definitely keep you warm on cold winter nights. This blanket is tightly woven with with extremely well stitched borders to prevent fraying. 64x88 covers a queen sized area with room to spare. Blanket is triple washed after production and is much softer than regular wool blankets. Used inside or outside this blanket will keep you warm. Very well made. Highly recommend.

This blanket is wonderful - simple, warm, and nicely hemmed. My dear wife gave it a definite “thumbs up” after using it as a comforter last night. I'm tall and it fits me well! The olive color reminds me of my father's Army blanket; camping in canvas tents, and campfires. This blanket will last forever. It is comparable to other high end woolen blankets that we own - you'd be hard pressed to find a difference. We both recommend this lovely, “rustic” blanket.

This Arcturus blanket is a welcomed addition . Despite its thin appearance, this blanket is surprisingly warm, and it's 4.5 pounds of weight adds additional comfort. The size of the blanket even allows a person over six feet to completely wrap himself or herself in the blanket. Although this blanket is wool, it does not cause itching. You'll definitely get your money's worth from this purchase.

This blanket came prewashed, but I washed it again anyway as I believe most of us would. I washed it by itself, in cold water on a delicate cycle. It did shed a little in the washer, but they say it will do that the first couple of washes. Now they say not to put it in a dryer, but I did anyway on the delicate, cool air cycle. It did lose a little wool to shedding, but nothing visible to the eyes on the blanket itself. With that being said if possible follow their guidelines of drying on a outside line, but the delicate, cool cycle I think overall works. The blanket is olive green in color, weighs 4.5lbs and is 64 inches x 68 inches which is a really nice size. It is very soft and comfortable and it states the more you wash it the softer it will get so I will see as time goes on. My reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is due to the extra care you have to follow in drying it. Other than that I would of given it 5 stars.

I got this a while back and have had some problems with it. The day it arrived, I immediately put it in the washer without a full inspection. Since the pandemic began, I do this with anything clothing or bedding related. I used the gentle cycle as the instructions suggested. After washing, I hung it from a couple plant hooks in the living room (where I keep a couple of hanging plants). The next day as I went to put it on my bed, I noticed some holes in it (no where close to where I had it hanging) and some threadbare areas. I went ahead and slept under it and it was very warm. But, in the morning, it had shed all over my sleep clothes and my sheets. So, I removed it from the bed. I'm really not sure what the issue with it is. Maybe I received a defective one since I didn't really examine it before washing. Or, maybe it just won't take a machine washing. I'm going to err on the side of caution here and give it a middle of the road rating since I really can't be sure which one is right.

I haven't even had it a whole month and it's already got a hole worn in it. it's supposed to be durable and tough especially woven so it doesn't get holes but less than a month and it has a hole and it's only been on my bed nowhere else
