Better Than Expected

jcander1 January 15, 2014

Easy to put together, sturdy, attractive for a cat tree. Much better deal than replacing the sofa our kitten liked to scratch and stretch on. If you don't see the kitten, look on the cat tree - she loves it!

My one cat loves this especially the top. Charlie (1) is up there all the time. My older ones 14 and 21 ar not interested at all. Will be getting another younger one shortly and I'm sure she will love it also. Easy to assemble and seems very sturdy. I would buy it again

Highly recommend

This cat tower looks nice inside out! Good quality, sturdy, and neat. Does not take too much space. Our cat is a medium size one year old and is in the process of growing in all dimensions. When she jumps onto this tower, this structure does not even shake. Our kitty LOVES the scratching posts from the first moment! She left our dining room chairs and our living room furniture without attention, as soon as she saw these scratch posts. Our cat also appreciates sitting inside the condo and looking out of its diamond-shaped side-window and through the living room window onto the street, checking what's going on there. She also got very agitated when she saw the pompoms, which tie to the top tear observatory. Besides, I can feed my cat on the upper tiers, without standing on guard and watching for our pup to not finish the cat's food. Very multifunctional unit. Overall, this tower is a beautiful piece, very tastefully designed and made.

Sturdy, well designed cat tree.

We've had many kitty condo's through the years, mostly from the big box pet stores. This is the first time we've ordered one online. I was curious how sturdy it might be based on having multiple short pieces stacking to form the uprights. The store models come fully assembled and the uprights are typically one solid piece of wood. I was very surprised at the design and engineering (yes, I'm an engineer by trade) that went into the connector system. Although this tree is almost two feet taller than the one it replaced, it is every bit as solid...if not more. The sisal rope is glued directly to the posts which makes it very tight and stable, however once the cats shred it, I suspect re-winding the posts with new rope will be impossible. So, this certainly makes the unit more of a disposable solution. That said, there is none of the flimsy carpet on this tree that usually leaves little carpet twisties laying around or hanging loose. The material is more of a fleece-like product. We shall see if this turns out to be more durable than the carpet. What leads me to believe it will last longer is that the only places which have the fleece are not the typical vertical scratching surfaces. So far, I don't see the cats picking at the fleece. The focus on the sisal wrapped columns. They are going to town on the rope and after almost two weeks, it is holding tight. We didn't use the hanging toys because our girls tend to demolish any such items. After assembly, I left them on the table close by. I was taking the assembly trash out and sure enough...somebody stole one of the toys off the table. It couldn't have been more than 10 minutes and I found a ball of poly fill laying on the floor. As I was picking it up, my Siamese came by and led me to the rest of the carcass. She's really too smart for her own good sometimes. The toy was now just a completely flat piece of fabric with the rest of the poly fill laying beside. I wouldn't recommend putting these toys on your tree as it got torn apart in record time...even for our cats. Get some sturdier pieces if you feel compelled to have attractants hanging on the tree. We spiked the tree with a bit of catnip and the cats took to it immediately. It has been their new domain ever since. I would recommend it as of now. We'll see how it holds up, but I'm feeling positive.

Great purchase!

Di October 1, 2020

Simply put, my cats love the tree. They love the taller version--more like climbing a tree. Great idea putting the side window in the cubble hole. Last one didn't have it, and the kittys wouldn't use it. Easy to assemble.. Great purchase...

Great product!

Kevin January 8, 2021

A well made product. All parts enclosed. Directions clear enough, though rather small print for my elderly eyes. Cat tree easy to assemble. A sturdy structure. I hope my cat likes it as much as I do!

This is tall. Almost 1 foot from ceiling. Perfect for my two kitties. Each one can takes a perch I like that it is narrow and tall. Doesnt take up much space. They dont really use the rope at the bottom
