This review is for the Athletic Works Resistance Tube - Heavy. Initial Impressions - The webbed fabric had to be trimmed for loose strands and I had to put the caps at the base of the handles in myself, which seemed a little cheap on their part. It's not difficult, it's just additional steps I didn't think I'd have to complete for them. Performance - To test what they meant by "Heavy" to describe the resistance tube, I used a 25lb barbell instead of a foot, then lifted upwards with both handles. With the middle of the tube in the center of the barbell handle for an even lift, I stretched it up a little past my shoulders (I'm 6'0" tall) before the barbell lifted off the ground. Which is perfect for my needs. I'm not certain if I like the lines cut in the handles, but they might be helping my grip and not solely for aesthetic purposes. Conclusion - With reasonable handles and a good "Heavy" stretch, it's easy to recommend this product.

The AW RESISTANCE TUBE - EXTRA HEAVY is just what I needed to help round out my exercise routine. I have used the resistance tube to help supplement my exercise routine for when I cant get a full workout in or can't make it to the gym. Fast and easy to use I am able to do a multitude of different exercises ranging from squats to overhead presses to curls. Small and compact it doesn't take up much room so you can store it just about anywhere. It is of a high-quality design with very sturdy materials. The tube itself is very durable able to withstand long durations of exercise, and the handles are comfortable and don't hurt your hands. Even though it is not a big fancy weight machine it can give you quite the workout. The only downside to this product is that I feel it is a bit short for taller people. Being over six foot four inches I find that the overhead press is a bit hard to fully extend due to my height. Other than that I love this product and plan to keep using it. I would most definitely recommend the AW RESISTANCE TUBE - EXTRA HEAVY to all my friends and family and anyone who needs a good effective way to exercise but doesn't have the space for a weight machine.
