My barbell is about 20 years old. My son has just started lifting and I noticed the ancient clamps were sliding off. These were expensive but his safety is more important. I read the reviews and complaints. People, these clamps FIT a 1" diameter barbell perfectly. Would recommend.

They're spring clamps. It's not rocket science.
Bought these to help with quickly removing weights from a threaded curling bar so I reach hypertrophy by reducing weight without taking a break. The threaded section of the bar is just slightly under 1" and the clamps will not engage. If I was using a standard 1" (25mm) bar they would work fine. This isn't rocket science. It's a fine product just can't be used in this application. You don't know until you try.

These clamps are tiny, but they do the job. Sometimes it's a bit hard to get them onto my 1 inch barbell. Snug fit. If you got big hands, might want to find bigger clamps.

doesnt fit 1in bar- to big!
suppose to fit 1 inch bar, so I purchased the 2 together (bar and clips) qnd the clips are to big for the bar, im very disappointed because they fall right off with the weights

Slides right on 1" bar I thought they opened to 1" so they are useless for me.
