AT&T CL4940 Standard Phone - White

Pros: I love that it comes with an AC adapter to power the caller I.D. and messaging. Other phones use batteries that would have to be replaced quite often. The large tiltable display has a back light that comes on automatically when the phone is in use or when a call is coming in. The back light will shut off in approximately 20 seconds when the phone is not being used. Large keypad numbers. All the features on the phone are easy to use. Comes with an instruction booklet. The sound is like any standard phone. It has a timer on the display that counts the seconds and minutes you are talking on the phone. This is a good quality phone with a fair price. Cons: I have not found any problems with the phone.

I like the large font. It makes it easy to see who is calling. Also, since I got the phone the unwanted phone calls have stopped. I can't say that it's the phone but as I said since I got the phone I went from 3 to 4 unwanted calls to ZERO. That is the best thing about it

Had this exact phone for many, many years. According to my husband it just stopped working. We're elderly so I had to take his word for it. New phone, happy husband. We love this phone.

The phone I ordered was pictured on the internet and came exactly as shown. The price was also the same as shown. The package arrived on my doorstep on the date I was told to expect it. This item was not available at any local store so I had to shop the net to find it. Walmart was my first choice, and I was pleased to be able to have it delivered so quickly.

...My previous AT&T model. This latest purchase was an upgrade based on the reviews that the speaker function was more than satisfactory. My previous AT&T phone was a simpler, basic phone similar to this one in the color black, which somehow showed up dings more easily; sort of a cheap look after a short while. I didn't appreciate the ugly greenish color backlighting of the display screen making it difficult to view nor the poor quality speaker functionality. I'm SO, SO PLEASED with this upgraded purchase in the speaker quality, display screen clarity & backlit color, and the overall appearance. Worth every extra dollar I paid for this one!

I'm a 75 year old woman that remains very active, and independent. I needed a phone with large numbers, and a speaker. The AT&T big button speaker phone with answering system was all that I was looking for, and more. I'm able to use the phone without the aid of reading glasses. And I can chose to screen all calls if I like, using the built in answering service. The best feature about this phone is how simple it is to use. And I don't have to worry about a lot of fancy stuff, that I don't use or understand. I use every feature, and love it. Thank you AT&T, and Walmart for providing something for everyone to be able to use. A very happy customer

Its going to take me a little time to really understand all of the instructions . However it is nice and easy to see you is calling. I bought one similar to this that was with very small printing and hard to read. I was surprised at how easy it was to hang on the wall. The rest I will learn as I go along. This is a great phone for us older folks. Thanks Walmart and At&T.

This phone will not keep a connection and I would have to call people back to continue. After the telephone company made 3 trips to my house to fix my problem we discovered it was this phone.

I did not order this item. When I received it, I tried to return it but returning this item is impossible. I still have not returned this because it's impossible. So I'm stuck with a phone I did not order and am out $60.00. Do not let them rip you off.

I bought this phone for my elderly parent, who already has a similar phone, but this has an answering machine as well. We hooked it up and none of us could get the phone to ring for incoming calls. Thinking it was just one defective product, we exchanged it for the same item, and this one didn't work either. So we returned it. Very disappointed.
