When they say this doesn't shrink your curls they weren't lying. Aunt Jackie's products are great but this stuff is natural and a little goes a long way. Plus it's under $8. A must for us curly girls.

This is one of the best products on the market. The “don't shrink from Aunt Jackie's really works”. I have natural curls and once I apply the “don't shrink gel”, my hair looks healthy, longer, and moisturized with a small amount of warm water it looks beautiful. I have yet to see any flakes or frizz from using the product. It is less expensive than the beauty supply stores.

Been using this for the past 2 years now. It does what it says. I use it on damp hair that already has a milk or leave in with it bc it isnt THAT moisturizing. but i will use it alone, not afraid of that. Very light weight yet effective. I love using it at night when i braid my hair down i wake up with the best results. Perfect for every day use and doesnt build up. Doesn't work well with certain leave ins or hair creams but does work good with most.

I have type 4A/4B natural hair and I've been natural for almost 5 years now, so you can trust me when I say that I've tried just about every gel there is for African American hair!! 'Eco Styler' and 'La Belle Lots of Curls' gels usually give me nice TIGHT curls, but nothing like this gel. Aunt Jackie's Flaxseed gel gives me nice LOOSE curls. I've included some pictures, even though my camera does NOT do it justice. I've found that this gel does not work so great on wet hair for a wash 'n go style, but it does work good on wet hair for twist outs. This gives me some of the best curl definition ever! It works best for me on dry hair after a twist out or braid out. I add a little oil moisturizer first, then I apply the gel. You don't need much at all, which is a good thing. I scrunch it in my hair and I get luxurious loose, bouncy spiral curls! They're really gorgeous in person. Please don't expect for your hair NOT to shrink at all with this. My hair does still shrink a little, but nothing like before (without this product). So, it doesn't totally stop it, but it prevents it by up to maybe 85 - 90% on MY hair. I've only been using this for about a week and have already received compliments on my hair. My husband says it makes my hair look fuller. It definitely does "it" for me and gets the job done. I'm going to be stocking up ASAP.

I am very tenderhearted and this product loosens my curl nicely where I'm able to comb it brush it style it with no residue no flakes great product

this is really good for curly hair I never thought they will help me it's so simple and it doesn't make my hair dry it makes my curls so nice I use it also on my 3 years old daughter I highly recommend it

I understand with the way economy is going prices just keep going up, but sometimes the products are not worth the prices going up. Most of the reason why I shop at Walmart the most, is because the prices, but they're becoming the same as everywhere else

Hear me out! This made my hair shrink but in a juicy and bouncy kind of way. The curls lasted for over a week and looked shiny. It is not heavy and it did not dry out hair. As suggested use on damp hair. There was no residue even after reapplication. It smells good!

A little goes a long way. It's not as strong of a hold as I'm used to. It does not leave a gel cast, which I prefer. I know some people don't. If you want a good hold with no crunch, this gel is for you.

Did define and show off my curls and stop frizz. Did not stop shrinkage. Left my hair a bit dry but not crunchy, even though I used leave-in conditioner before and sprayed with oil afterward. But it helped my wash-n-go go!
