Aurora 8-Sheet Cross-Cut Paper Shredder, Black, New

This is a great paper shredder. It's small and compact, so it fits in nearly any small corner or space for storage. It easily shreds 8 pieces of paper and single credit cards without any problem. The storage bucket catches all the shredded paper and is easily dumped into a garbage can. This appears to be a long lasting and well built shredder.

We have been looking for a small paper shredder and this was perfect. The size is just right and fit in our home office. There was little assembly, and it does just what it says it does. It works very well and already recommended it to family and friends.

Very good value for the money. If shredding a lot of stuff, I recommend keeping it to 4 sheets of paper at a time. I had about 500 pages to shred and it went into cool down mode after I fed it 6-7 sheets at a time for about 150 pages non-stop. I know it's not intended to be run that hard, still super happy with it.

I chose this paper shredder based on the price and was pleasantly surprised at the quality when it arrived. The other paper shredders in the store were at least $10 more and did not come with a basket. This shredder has a nice sturdy basket that the shredder fits onto securely. The shredder will cut 8 sheets at a time, as advertised, and will also cut credit cards with no issue. I really like the size of the shredder (slightly larger than a sheet of paper) because it's not a mini desktop, but also not big and bulky either. I think it is the perfect size at a perfect price.

Good value for the money. I had bought a more expensive shredder and returned it for this one. I like the auto feature and that this one has ridges to facilitate picking it up when emptying it. I also like that it has a guide in the center for shredding cards. It fits nicely under my desk. These little practical features is why I choose this shredder

Overall I like this machine, and its decent for sporadic use, but if you need to do a pile of shredding all at one, such as an old Bankers Box of paper records from 15-20 years ago, this was a mild disappointment. Its not as big as my previous AS700X shredder, and also doesn't seem as durable. And while it does indeed shred credit cards, it strains under the load. I would recommend this shredder, but not for anything other than light or occasional use.

I bought this shredder which works very well, but when it was delivered, the see though screen is cracked. That didn't affect the performance of the shredder but it bothers me. I wish the package handlers were more careful with other people's packages.

i just received and used it after i had to order the oil. You would have thought at least 1 oz. of oil could have come with my purchase but No. Its very loud, my neighbor above me asked me what I was doing. And I havent even tried 8 sheets as 3 seems to be all it can handle. If i had to purchase again i would definitely spend some more money and upgrade!

For the first few days, I thought it was great; relatively quiet, I have a lot to shred, but realize I mustn't overwork something this inexpensive, so I limited shredding to 15 min at a time. The red light NEVER came on and it did not feel "overheated". On the 4th day of use, after struggling with what was perhaps too thick a wad of paper, I stopped it and put it into reverse. From that point forward, it just stopped working. The green light is on, but it only runs in REVERSE! In forward mode, it's just silent with the green light on, so it's not overheated. I can't see any blockage.

This shredder is terrible. It's not worth even the $20 I spent on it, nevermind paying full price. It claims you can shred 8 pages at once but it has jammed several times with as few as 4 pages. It also overheats in a very short amount of time. As I write this, I'm waiting for it to recover from both a jam and an overheat after attempting to shred 3 pages. Spend a bit more for something that actually works.
