Functionality is better than previous countertop ice maker. When it is turned off, any partially created ice is moved to the basket. Ice creation area appears to be easy to clean with open visibility when the top is open. Downfall is that there is no where to place the hand scoop.

Perfect for small space on counter. I selected it for the two bullet shape sizes. Makes ice in less than 15 minutes then time is shortened as you make more. I will likely give this to my college student for her apartment. I would like the texture ice rather than smooth bullets. It's ok for parties and making cold brew coffee. I'll get use out of it.

I got this on February 20th and have been using it for about a month. It definitely makes ice fast. Within around 3 minutes of plugging it in, I already had ice, which was kind of wild to watch. I also like that I pretty much always have ice now, and when I use distilled water the ice has a perfect crunchy texture. The biggest downside is the noise. This thing is LOUD. When the ice drops, it sounds like doors slamming in the house. When it pulls water up, it sounds like an old motor starting. If it's low on water, it gets even louder and basically lets you know immediately. I also don't like that the ice size is inconsistent. Even if I keep it set to small, it will randomly start making bigger pieces. It works consistently and makes ice really fast, but because of the noise and the random ice size changes, I honestly would not buy it again unless it was heavily on sale.

The icemaker will produce enough ice for maybe two glasses at a time, but definitely don't go over the max line, or the ice will melt and flood the container that holds the ice. Once the bucket is full, it stops functioning properly, and ice will melt, so I have to keep an eye on it.

If you're looking for an icemaker that just makes ice, but doesn't store it, then this is what you need. However, if you're looking for something that makes and stores ice? This is not for you.

It arrived in a box with no packaging protection and came out scuffed and dirty. Appeared to be used. Was bought with the understanding this item was new. Once set up, it malfunctioned and said the cleaning feature needed to continually run. No ice while this went on. After a few hours the ice eventually starting to freeze and dump in the bin. Made lots of cracking and clattering noises way beyond any of my previous ice makers. With all this combined with the certainty that this vendor sent me a used product that could not properly function, I packed it up and am returning to the store. I have no plans to shop from this vendor ever again, and thus far, am sure the Avanti ice maker is not a good purchase.

Came with boxed almost destroyed retaped and broken I'm sure the ones in the store were the same way those boxes were damaged to when we went to return this one absolutely junk

Very noisy and always shutting off for all different reasons. I would not recommend. Pay a little more and get a better one.

does not keep ice frozen, once made and once put into freezer the ice cubes are still kinda wet (if you know, you know) so it all just freezes into a big block.

This thing is loud, when it sucks water up and dropping the ice, definitely not quite. The inside also does not keep cool so the ice melts, I'm going to return it. I tried to see if I could get use to it or if it just needed to run for several days to keep cool, but it didn't help.
