It is wonderful for putting on my mason jars. The seal is quite effective, and I don't have spills unless I forget to add the silicone piece back in the lid and shake it. However that is simply user error. Great for anything you want to refrigerate, like my herbal vinegar, cut vegetables, or simply leave in the panty such as my home grown dried oregano leafs or other spices/dried herbs. I highly recommend

I use wide mouth glass jars for food storage, and these stainless steel lids are perfect. I tried copper colored lids before, and while I like the look, the seal isn't air tight. That's okay for protein bars in wrappers, but not useful for dry beans or seeds or leftovers. These stainless steel lids have a removable soft seal. Easy to wash and dry. No plastic, no problems.

I like using these lids because they are stainless steel and one piece, instead of the two-piece jar lids, which can rust easily. They have not rusted whatsoever so far. I am trying to get rid of all plastic lids, too. I only use widemouth jars because they are so easy to wash. (Your hand can go inside the jar to wash it.) Also, using jars is so much better than using plastic bags or plastic containers. Anything that could be stored in a plastic bag or container can go into a jar! Homemade cookies especially look nice stacked in a jar. They stay very fresh.

The Ball Reusable Stainless Steel Mason Jar Lids with Silicone Gaskets are the BOMB! I discovered this excellent Ball product last year when canning fruit jams in my home. They are sold in regular-mouth and wide-mouth sizes. Although these one-piece stainless steel lids are not recommended for use in the home-canning process, they are ideal for resealing home-canned foods once the metal canning-lid and metal band have been removed from the mason jar containing the home-canned food. No more hassling with the two-part lids on our mason jars, once we have broken the canning seal on the jam! This Christmas I am including a Ball stainless steel lid with every jar of home-canned jam that I give to family and friends. These one-piece lids are so much easier to use as opposed to the two-piece lid-and-band used during the home-canning process! I am looking forward to introducing my loved-ones to these excellent one-piece lids.

Thoroughly appreciate the ease of removing the sealing aspect for cleaning. Even the slight misformation of the lid is easily formed back. Sometimes my glitchiness can make it hard to get lids on and off, but this one seems to seal pretty well without me struggling too much to get the lids on/off. I'm sure I've gathered a few tricks over various attempts with different lids, so you'd have to give it a try yourself to see if it fits your comfort and ease. Typical use is with the stackable glass jars for daily use. Impressed overall.

Bought these to use with my jars for overnight oats. I dislike the two piece lids that normally come with these jars. I don't use them for canning, so one piece with silicone inner piece is perfect and easier to clean. No leak despite vigorous shaking. Prior two piece lids that came with the jar are annoying because they start to rust with acidic pickling solutions.

Such a huge upgrade from the original lids. I use these for broth and they work great. Mainly got them because I throw them in the dishwasher for easy cleaning, game changer! They are holding up well and look brand new still. I don't use the seals included because I consume what I put in them quickly (resulting in tons of cleaning).

I have not received jar lid with gasket inside. I didn't even realize they could come this way. I am using to freeze soups for this winter. Very good seal. Nice look. Just make sure you know what you are ordering. I don't canning , so I was not familiar with lid and rings. Pictures was very hard to see what I was looking for. Anyway nice product. I will see how long they last.

I had previously ordered a similar item - same store, same manufacturer - that was one piece. The stainless lids have silicone seal built in. This item is in 2 pieces, like a standard canning lid. I far prefer the single piece construction. When I returned it to the store, they had no single piece option. It's a good product, I simply prefer the simplicity of the single piece.
