These fit perfectly in the drawer where I store spices. Standing up. They're 4 oz, but because of the single piece lids, they are much simpler than the 4 oz mini Ball jars that have the regular mouth two piece lids. They aren't fit for canning, of course—but they seem to keep the spices contained nicely. Plastic is terrible for spices—many of them ‘eat' it over time—so I decant mine into Ball jars, and these take a small round chalkboard paper sticker perfectly. I can't smell the cinnamon, or the chili powder, or any of the rest through these. I was surprised by this, because the lid doesn't have a significant looking gasket, but the fit is tight enough. I doubt they are truly airtight, but they're good enough for some seriously pungent spices not to perfume my kitchen from storage. I love how they look, and because they fit upright in the drawer, I can fit more spices and items in there. Since there is no such thing as enough kitchen storage, this is a vital thing! Love these, and will order more if I need them.
These little mason jars are adorable! Comes in a four pack. They are a mini so don't mistake them for a large mason jars like I did, but I will still use them and I do!
I bought several packages of these to use as spice jars. I also had to order lids from another company so that I can use them the way I want to. The price isn't bad and I like the way they look.
These small jars are exactly what I needed to store small amounts of powdered stuff, U have stacked them and they take up very little space. I am very pleased with my choice.
i make my own inflammation morning shot with lemon juice, ginger, and turmeric. i make up a batch and portion it out and freeze them. i thaw 1 a day. these are a great size for me. they freeze well. and i love that the lid is a single piece.
I so love the mini jars and want more. Trying to learn more ways to incorporate more natural habits and homemake things. So far I made some homemade gingerale with fresh ginger, fresh lemon, water, honey, and sparking water. In addition, hiscibus tea with natural tea leaves some cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, all spice, and cinnamon filled up my jars and enjoyed them.
I think that while I like the look and the seal with the screw on lids might be fine for dry goods I can not so sure about liquids because sometimes I put liquid that is running low in a larger container in them. And I have been swimming to the grey plastic caps which works great on the crystal jelly jars. So next time I will get something with a normal diameter mouth on it.
it wasn't exactly what I was expecting they're so tiny! I thought they would be just a little bit bigger 🤣. they're cute... but not as useful as I thought they would be and you can't really seal them.
I thought the kids were stainless steel but they are the same rusty material as the canning lids. It didn't even last one wash without rusting - it was the initial wash so I could use it for the first time. Very disappointed. It is very cute. This should come with stainless steel lids with silicone rings to seal. I don't even think they sell mini-mouth size stainless steel lids. (The size is new--"mini-mouth"--smaller than both wide mouth and regular mouth).
These are NOT what's pictured. They are smooth sided (no Ball logo) with a one-piece lid. Yes, the description says that it's for food storage NOT canning. However, when searching for 4oz canning jars, these show up. You can only use these for dry storage or crafts.
