Heavy and powerful, we’ll go through most any small medium size bush or heavy brush. assembly instructions are not very descriptive, but should be self-explanatory if you know anything about lawn equipment. Shoulder strap and handle placement needs to be done per user to find correct balance.

A CHEAP BUT POWERFUL AND QUITE WELL-BUILT TRIMMER

Steven October 8, 2025

I got the trimmer packaged well with no damage to the packaging or the trimmer. I unpacked the trimmer and started putting it together without reading the instructions, of course. I'm a good mechanic and have worked on small engines for about 50 years. The assembly was relatively straightforward. Hooking up the throttle cable was difficult, but disconnect the cable from the throttle cable thumb control and choose the correct end of the silver screw on the carburetor that has the inset so the cable will be secure in the holder. Now, you can easily hook the cable up to the throttle thumb control. Adjust and tighten the cable holders so they allow the rings for the shoulder harness to be vertical. Make sure you properly seat the cutter section in the base. I failed to do that, and the trimmer section would not turn. I loosened the clamp and pushed in about 1/2 inch seating the unit, and it worked perfectly. Starting was a big issue. I filled the tank with properly mixed oil... fresh gasoline- premium grade... ONLY USE PREMIUM GRADE GRESH GASOLINE WITH A STABILIZER ADDED TO PROTECT THE FUEL SYSTEM. I SET THE CHOKE AND THE THROTTLE WIDE OPEN. PULLED THE CRANK A COUPLE OF TIMES AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP.... for about 5 seconds and shut down. I checked for fuel and spark and both were being delivered. While pulling the rope, I thought this is an awful short rope, but as cheap as this trimmer was (less than 120 bucks delivered to my doorstep) they had to cut corners somewhere. However, later I tried it again and it would not start. Changed spark plugs and added fuel... but no results. Later I tried once more and noticed the pull cord was longer than I thought.... The problem. When the motor fired, it would stop the pull cord. I was not pulling it hard enough. To do this, I had to hold the trimmer with my foot. I put the trimmer on a cardboard box for support... crushed the trimmer into the box so I could hold it with my foot and give the engine a real pull. I did so and a few strong long yanks saw the trimmer running. Idling perfectly... not quite reaching top speed. I ran it a little... NO HEAVY WORK... THE MOTOR HAS TO "BREAK IN" - WEAR A LITTLE SO EVERYTHING FITS TOGETHER FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE. TAKE IT EASY THE FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS. I tried it out. The unit is quite heavy, but has tremendous power. I would like a longer shaft... about a foot so the cutting head would run level rather than tilted down. But, my short trial run went well and I might find the solution to the short shaft- I was cutting better after a few minutes. The unit is idling now to help with the break-in process. The cutting head shield is flemsy plastic with no cutter for the cord. The unit seems a little lightly built, so I will not treat this like my heavy name brand professional trimmer. But, it will get heavy use. I wanted another trimmer so I could have one with a trimmer head and one with a blade. This one will have the string head.

Good value for the price. Mid quality.

Pros: Easy to assemble. Initial carburetor setting was OK %26 did not require much adjustment. Once the engine is running, the trimmer works well. Cons: Manual has small prints. Users should be familiar with 2-stroke engine, e.g. mixing ratio of gasoline %26 oil %26 how to prime %26 pull-start the engine, otherwise it can be a struggle to get the engine started.

the machine itself it great, zips right threw the big blackberries. the problem lies with its design. The two rods have to come together so the drive shafts can meet and connect. well, that connection is weak and unstable. it came loose twoce while rinning the 3 blade saw, causing the lower shaft to spin out of control. the very small pin like connection doesn't hold it well, and the quick release nut and bolt only toghtened so much before it began to cravk the plastic that went around the bolt. instead of returning and getting a new one with the same issue i installed a new nut and bolt and a better pin to hold it together. i will install a clamp ring on it later today for the final step to secure it. i was very disappointed that i spent that much money and the connection failed so badly. other then that it does the a great job.

Worked great first time I used it. The second time, the kill switch stopped working, so to turn it off, I have to pull the spark plug wire off. Can't buy anything that lasts anymore.

When I finally open the box there was no weed eater in the box I had no clue what this is that's in the box but it is not a weed eater and when I try to do a return all I get is the option to do a review I am not happy. I would love to return this item so I can get my weed eater.

Poorly written and illustrated directions. Wal-Mart sold me an open box that had been used (fuel in tank), was defective and if the blade had been on it, running 'up to'10Krpm/min when the shaft came apart while running at about 8Krpm, I just got really lucky. They were negligent and will find out soon enough. I bet this review gets buried!

received a damaged box. i thought it was just the box but now that I've got it all put together, it won't start. i think they sent me a returned bush cutter. i bought it in winter so i didn't assemble it and test it until spring. now it's too late to return it.

Took a while to put together and had to take it apart a couple times. I was only able to use it for 2 hours before it died mid-run. Both string heads strings snapped and wouldn't feed out. Don't go by the little gas mixer bottle, it tell you to put way to much oil in it.

Handle broke off while in use

maribel November 2, 2025

This item looked promising, but after having just purchased on Oct 24, and as of Nov 1st , after only 2 uses. The handle completely broke off while in use, like the metal literally just broke off. I'm not sure what type of metal it is made of for that to even be possible. I purchased warranty for it, but being that I have only had it for about 2 weeks, I was told I have to contact the manufacturer, which turns out is in Hong Kong. I am hoping I can return this or have it replaced somehow. Buyer beware; the handle issue was in addition to the start issues I was experiencing.
