Barbie Inspiring Women Susan B. Anthony Collectible Doll in Black Dress with Doll Stand

I love the doll and what it stands for, the only downside was Walmart shipped the doll in a padded envelope instead of a box. The envelope was poor protection for the plastic front of the box and the right upper corner was broken. Very disappointed.

My daughter loves her Susan B Anthony doll. She is elegant and beautiful. My daughter loved the bendable arms and legs. She's had her for almost a week and Susan has went everywhere with us. The back of the box also has of her life story and it was a teachable moment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this for someone who collects Barbies and it will be a nice addition to the collection. I shopped around and Walmart had the best pricing by far. this is a very elegant Barbie. The hair, glasses and dress is a good representation of the Era of the times.

This Barbie is well detailed and beautiful. It is a great tribute to Susan B. Anthony. Im proud to have it in my collection. It was well packaged and delivered in perfect condition.

Susan B Anthony doll My daughter likes the black and white color. I find the all black of the dress a bit boring, but likely historically valid. And actually, it is very rare to find a doll in a black dress these days, so it is actually unique to my daughter. In these days of dolls with very little clothing this is a nice change of pace. My daughter also liked the boots, hairstyle and the glasses. The little cameo at the neck is very cute. I like that the doll is more full figured than most barbie dolls. It has plastic joints for extra movement at the wrist, elbows, hips and knees. Although, I had to remove the dress and move the elbow joints around to get more natural movement in the arms. I might have been able to do that without removing the dress, if I wasn't afraid of breaking the arms without seeing what I was doing. The cameo and lace is not part of the dress and I had to cut a little plastic tab to remove the dress from it. This is a collectable doll that many people will keep in the box, so for most people that will not be an issue. The doll stand works well and seems to be more sturdy then some that we have had (and broken). The box states that a Certificate of Authenticity is included. There is nothing special about the certificate. It is a very boring black print on a third of a sheet of basic white paper. I feel like they should have made it nicer looking or should have just left it out. I would much rather have a booklet or even a brief description of Susan B. Anthony's life, then the certificate. They did put a brief bio on the back of the box though. That said, I really like the doll. Susan B. Anthony is a good role model for girls. As a doll it is much easier to move and position due to the movable joints. The doll can sit down without looking like she is doing yoga or exercising with legs straight out like more basic barbie dolls. May daughter likes this doll more than her other dolls of similar type. The doll itself is a beautiful representation of Susan B. Anthony however it arrived in a very bruised box therefore devaluing the product itself as it appears used and not new.

my daughters wanted dolls they can identify with. Apparently there are only 2 white women, other than athletes that Mattel could find that fit their narrative. Not bad quality for this particular doll.

The doll itself was fine, but the box was crushed and broken. The marketplace seller shipped it in a bubble mailer envelope instead of a box. The package appeared to have been stepped on. I was able to get a 'one time' refund like it was my fault. I won't order from this seller again. They need to take more care when shipping collectable items.

I ordered this collectible Barbie as a gift. I was very disappointed in the way the item was shipped, in a padded envelope. The first Barbie ordered was damaged and I requested the replacement be shipped in a box to avoid the same thing happening. The second Barbie also shipped in a padded envelope and was damaged as well. This is a collectible gift and a damaged box is not acceptable. I will not be ordering this sort of item from Walmart in the future.

The plastic on the box was broken. I asked for an exchange. This is really bad. And the plastic isn't in the box so it had to of been packed in that manner.
